The sugarbush box which consists of a drive train and all that shit that makes it go from sugarbush to alpine shop will be there. You drop off of that

it's over. lil jon won. the set up was kinda sketch and the weather sucked but we made the best of it and right now i'm at ljs house so i'm stoked. if anyone wants i took his underwear and will be taking offers.

It would have been cool if the rail setup wasnt the sketchiest thing ever, but cant really complain

i think one of my friends filmed/photographed a little bit. ill see if he'll upload something.

the rail was at the end of a steep narrow drop-in on top of a truck, truly sketchy. one guy kept trying switch on and took some gnarly bails. some good switch-ups, 270 offs, adn 450 offs too. id be surprised if anyone tried to spin on, but i didnt see the whole thing. lj killed it though, i think he switched it up first hit.

oh yeah, it rained... already feels like winter

yeah but they didnt set it up so it was just parked there and you couldnt hit it so that was a bit disapointing

Video is on the way, check back in a day or two for links to video of the event.

Thanks to everyone who showed up and killed it, even in the rain.

As for the set-up, c'mon, if it wasn't sketch you wouldn't love it, right?!

As soon as we can get the video and stills collected we'll upload.

Stay tuned for more events this fall.....

bad set up by who ever made it, and it made it suck all that much more. The staff did a great job to keep shit going best it could, but rail and bad set up are shity.

For those of you who missed it.....Another rail jam coming up at the TGR premiere October 14th.

Bigger, better, more features, plus the TGR crew will be there!!!

Stay tuned for more details, or PM me.

P.S.--for those of you who attended this past weekend and the summer rail jam last year, what did you think? Better, worse, same, suggestions? (okay, maybe limit suggestions to realistic ones, such as not trucking in 300 tons of dirt to make a hill set up and gapping buildings, these are parking lot events in ealry fall after all, not on-hill mid-winter events... :)

does anyone have any video up yet from the first jam?

rail jam and anomoly, its not even a question

Definitely have more features to spread people out. A bomb drop would be dope. And maybe a box a bit bigger than the other one. And dont have the drop in go directly into the rail. Have it go below and then have a transition into a jump onto the rail. Also, a good way to save snow is to not waste it on the sides of the rail. just put it at the end and on the inrun cause as long as you have padding on the sides the snow isnt really necessary. Thats my two cents

Oh, and make it not rain!

Good suggestions. Space limitations made it so we had to shorten the amount of space the rail could take up, hence the snugged-up set-up, but we will be able to change that for the next one. Also, the box was definately short, the longer one we were supposed to get had been run over by a groomer (DOH!) and was out of commission. We are building new features for future sessions. What do you all think about rainbows and c-rails? Bomb drops are a little hard given safety concerns, but if you have suggestions for how to make it reasonably safe, we'd love to hear them. We are going to go for more ramps to features off of the scaffolding (maybe one off of each of 3 sides), and maybe a two-story scaffold, though that might get tricky...

i had a great time...next time u should have shit for 2nd and third though...cause we all no lj is gunna win so you gutta give stuff to the peeps who atleast tag along with him

i think i got second or would of i had the big white tee on with a red tee over and then a green one later on

bomb drops wouldnt work well, the landing on a bomb drop goes after 3or4 hits.

the biggest problem with almost every rail jam i have ever been to is flow; as was the main problem at alpine shop.

the way it was set up skier and snowboarders had to strap-on on top of the ambulance, one at a time while another dropped.

there was lots of downtime between when one person was clear from the rail and the next dropped.

With so many kids showing up to these rail jams, either more features with seperate drop ins need to be added or a larger area for multiple people to put on their equipment needs to be made.

yes some set ups are sketch but the above problem is the most important when it comes to fun and fair competition.
