3:30 or 4 is the TURBO premier. Like I said rail jam bib gets you in for free. If you didnt enter the jam is $2 bucks to get in, not to bad. Level 1 is going to provide tons of swag as well so it should be a fun event.

More information the closer it becomes.

how far is roundtop from like Blue mt? if it sn't too far that looks sick and its the day after my birthday!

Ive ridden at blue a few times last season and its less than a 2 hour drive and its a easy drive. You should definately come out for the day!

In all honesty guys it depends on the amount of snow..as of now one place says 8-10 tons, one places says they will be able to help and a few are still getting back to me..

but if it were my decision..if you have seen video form the past we have a paintball truck drop in ramp its huge..but that only gets 1 person at a time and one feature..

my idea is to have a patch of snow and have some new beginner features so we can have more of a variety...like a down box, flat bar, flat up bar or something, fdf...as it gets closer to the event we will have more to talk about as setup goes!

^ yea do it up. The jam i was at like 2 seasons ago with the truck drop in and the wide box was still fun but it did get super crowded being only one person could drop in at once

yeeah its ok but im going to try and stray away from that..it will be a fun day in my opinion..

there is another jam later that night hosted by revival in lancaster at field of screams so it is possible to hit two rail jams and one video premier all in the same day..i dont know if they are allowing skiers though..

Pretty sure i'll be there, with possibly 2 to 4 other people, thanks Matt for giving a decent heads up, now i can actually call off work that day with plenty of notice.

No problem man!

Heres the deal for snow. We have a couple areas donating us snow. It won't be NEARLY as much as last year since we had a snow machine running the whole month before and we were able to blow for the rail jam. I am hoping to have 2-3 smaller rails setup just for fun, have a fun comp and then the video premier. This won't be held in the parking lot with the paintball truck. I am planning on having this event in the half-pipe area so we can possibly retain the snow for a while and try to accumulate more of it. It just is all weather dependent on how much we have! It should be fun to just hit some rails, chill, mini film session, prizes, video premier, ski sales, etc! Just a cool day to get pumped for the season.

Then head down to lancaster that night for a rail jam revival snow and skate is hosting. More information is available here (www.fieldofscreams.com) under events.

Is slamina going to be for sale there? I see it on sale at the level 1 site, also any of the hoodies?

no not that im aware of. they are sending me a premier kit with swag and stuff so whatever they are giving me is what i have from them..

are they going to be rail or boxes or a combinations of both.

Ill be there i definaly want to see turbo

i am hoping to have a box and a rail setup..

we may have to use the paintball truck as a drop in depending on snow..i will try to make it better than it has been in the past though...if its cold enough were blowing for the jam. If not its still going to go on.

i just got some gear from dynastar to get out at the jam hopefully more to come!

if there is a lot of people and we have to use the paintball truck, i am going to probably think about setting up heats so we can get a lot of people to have a lot of hits..im going to try and stray away from the drop in though..but we wil see

This is def starting to look sick, I am planning on going as of right now, but how crowded have these events gotten in the past because if it is going to be a 20 min wait to drop I might just come to catch the movie... but really want to session a litlle!

Heres the deal..we have used the truck drop in before and it has been PACKED..i mean a long wait, and pretty boring I wont lie...3 years ago the truck was ok not as many people showed..last year for our preseason jam on the hill we had 80 people..

If we use the truck heres the deal..We can save a TON of snow by only using the truck..it doesnt need that much snow and we would have a TON for the truck. If we do use the truck..my idea was to make heats maybe of like 30min depending on how many people enter..maybe like 10-15 each..that way more people get hits..then we have like a finals type deal and then the movie premier. My plan is if we use the truck, then on sunday if we have left over snow possibly open it for a few hours and charge like 5 bucks to session maybe from like 11-4 or something like that..just chill hit some rails eat, look around the swap etc.

If we have enough snow for the hill, it would be a little less crowded because we can spread it out..i just dont want to do the hill and not have a lot of snow..the two days of riding sounds better and if we do heats i think we can make it worthwhile for $10 bucks and a video premier.

yeah dude weigh your options...mo-town fuel tv and shit is gonna be there. lots of free redbull and legit prizes. not saying roundtop wont be legit either....buttttt

if the jam wasn't my event i would be at mo-town if they werent on the same day..i would basically choose depending on which was a further drive..the closer would win

fact, with the prices of gas the way they are I'd probably go to the closer one. Sttammbauuugghh, aren't you in college yet? Get away from roundtop as fast as you can!!!! haha just kidding man

haha i would for sure..ive been up there a couple times to chill/party and stuff but my parents made this deal that if i went to psu harrisburg they would pay for all my schooling and have no loans or anything i just have to buy books so i went with that..

Bump

Rail Jam Registration is from 9-1015 not 9-11. If you cant get there till later but wanna hit it we will work something out.

Setup wise: It looks like its shaping up to be a single barrel flat rail, an up-flat box and a flat box about 20ft long and 6 inches wide. It could change though.

We are probably going to use the paintball truck drop in to save snow so we can have a session on sunday for 5 or 10 bucks for a few hours.

If people get to much speed with the paintball truck can't you use somthing smaller and also how are you going to have it set up so the drop in can hit every feature?

were going to try our hardest to not use the drop in. You have a lot of speed if the feature is close to the drop in..if you space it good there wouldnt be a super ton of speed. we woould also set them side by side so you can turn and hit one of the three..but were looking at not using the drop in and setting up a single barrel, flat box and upflat box

It is not in NY, Roundtop is near Harrisburg Pennsylvania. I dont want to tell you it wouldn't be worth the drive because it could be super fun. Flat box, single barrel, roller style box currently are the features we are looking at..it just depends on how much snow there will be. atleast 2 features.

are the rails going to be ones from last year if so which ones or are they new rails for this year

Heres the deal for the jam so far..

Our snow source had a ton of snow but the rain washed a lot of it away im sure, we will have the jam no matter what though. We will have snow for the jam so it will be good.

As for the rails, we will be having a 20ft flat box about 2ft high and 6-8 inches wide. Also a 20ft single barrel rail and possible a roller box that will be new. Features may change though depending on snow but i can assure atleast the flat box and single barrel rail.

As for prizes and stuff, we have a pair of Troublemakers for 1st place skiers, tons of stuff from burton, we got some shirts, goggles, sunglasses, posters, and more goodies for the video premier. It should be a fun time so get on out to the jam!

Registration is from 9-10:15. MAKE SURE YOUR ON TIME, I WILL NOT ACCEPT LATE RIDERS!!!!!

so is this going to be a pretty competitive thing? I'm more interested in going for the fun of skiing. I mean i know it'll be judged (i'm assuming anyway) but i'm more interested in just skiing at my own leisure like a normal day at the "terrain" park (which most rail jams are not like). I mean i'll be there regardless but whether i ski in it or not is another please expand as i've never done a rail jam before.
