Rail help

dude i has no clue working on hand rails my self, I just know that you always want a wide stance during your approach, pop, and while sliding

Confidence is important. Approach at a little slower speed when learning. I learned by stepping onto the rail with my back foot then bringing my other foot up. Once you get that down pop on but not super hard then simply ride it out. Hope that helps I use to be really scared of down rails.

I would not recommend this, as it is basically learning it wrong and then learning it right.

Find a mellow down rail with not to low of a take off, one you feel comfortable with.

Come in with good speed, bend at your knees weight forward so you feel your shins slightly pushing on the front of your boot. come in aligned with the rail, look at the end of the rail, and then pop off both skis like you would when you pop on to a normal rail. The angle and your speed will ensure that you will get on to the rail, don't worry about that. It's all about committing, you can do it!

When you get sideways on boxes pretend that it is as wide as a rail so that your feet are dead center every time. then try a rail
