yep basically try to find a rail u dont need to jump on. One that u can just ride on to.

SMILE, its the second best thing you can do with ur mouth
 
^that really wasnt that helpful of a tip.

you have to put pretty much all your weight on your front foot, if you are putting weight on your back leg your skis will just slide out from under you and you'll fall on your ass.

Don't just turn your body onto it, pop your legs a little bit.

This helped me toooons.

I've told others this for both skiing and snowboarding, and it has helped too.

Yeah speed deff helps keep the rail between ur legs when approaching pop off the jump land with your feet wide and your weight on your front foot and keep your eyes on the end of the rail.

 
staying relativly low with a wide stance makes it easier too, also looks better

getting your weight forward is as easy as putting your leading hand down near your knee
 
yeah and focus on the end of the rail but low and wide doesnt look cool so once you get good at rails try and stand up and relax
