k so i got like 20ft of pvc and i was planing on making a 16 ft rail but im not sure if i should make it 20 or 16. it would be alittle more than a foot off the ground. my backyard is completly flat so i would have to make a drop in. how i do you think i should build the drop in?

maybe make it 16 because you need alot of speed, but if you get a drop in big enough make it 20. Just build a big slanted slope thing out of wood (no idea how), or you can use a plastic slide some people have in their backyards for kids.

i just made a short 12 foot rail and im dropping in on a slide and i still go kinda slow on the rail so id do a 16 ft rail

my local home depot only had 10 ft pvc, which is pretty short but do u think itll be worth it? and my drop in is pretty sick its ply wood over a gap from a hill to my driveway

well how high do you think a drop in for a 20 ft rail would be and btw im gonna be using it mostly in the winter maybe in the summer a couple times but only for winter pretty much

u dont want to be doing it on ure drive way and for a 20 ft rail in the winter id say if its flat about 7ft droop in and fairly steep

for winter i make a dropin a picknick table and pile snow on top to double its height (u put boardes on the sides so it uses less snow)

dude, i have the exct same prob - had a flat backyard.

The good news is its doable, but you need at least an 8 foot dropin if your using artificial turf - speed is key. Takes a lot of lumber, so hit up the bins at construction sites for stripped formwork or something.

My rail is 17 feet long, and you cant make it much longer cos theres just not enough speed.

freeze the vid if u wana see hw i built everything, or if u want, send me a msg with ur email, and ill send a shitload of pics

go with 20. you can always jump off early if it's too long. and if you make it 16 and it turns out to be boringly short, you're stuck.
