So whats the deal with the rail comp this weekend at Perfects? Anybody planing on going up? I think I'm going up.

-JMAN-

Word, I really need to hear the deal on this. I'm about to drop 6 hours of driving time on this, plus a night at a hotel with my dad.

He says it looks like a big ALpine, and in that case, I don't know if it's worth it. Then again, since i plan on coming to the big air in february and shit, maybe i should see the park and the competition. is the park up?

also, friday night, is there skiing till 3am? i'd leave after school, and i'd like to have that night to practice on the rails.

Brody

i wont drop out of high school for skiing, mom

yes the park is up we got some rails out prolly what is out is all we will have for the rail jam thing and skiing til 3am on friday is correct

Shit I mean Fuck I mean Damn

a little alpine? pfft...perfect north slaughters alpine. its worth coming down. park is up, not complete. the rails are always fun. and this past weekend the jump was ILL! i learned zero spins and d spins. woohoo!

Hey guys, if you are able to make the trip down for this weekend it should be off the hook, we haven't really dialed in all the details so i can't be sure of format or anything like that, but since me and my buddy are on the 'planning commission' we can kinda make it cool. So we're thinkin' jam style format naturally and we will have a Down Kink that is 10' flat and 15' down, a 30' Flat bar, a 14' flat bar, and the 48' S-Rail... we aren't sure what will be in the comp yet or how we will set it up but that is what we have thus far. We are almost done with our Wallride, that is about 5' tall and 10' long so that could be in there too but we're not sure. The park is kinkin' pretty good, sept all the damn beginners, but oh well you'll have that in the midwest. The Jump is about 20' right now but it has a super steep down slope that is pretty long so you can take it a bit further and it pops you pretty high... so its good, at least i like it... check out a pick i posted in the jumps category for example... Yeah so you should all show up if you can to show perfects that we can get a crowd and that this is the stuff we want.

Sorry so long,

Tad

Pro Classes of both Skiers and Boarders will get 45 minutes to hit the rails as many times as they would like.

Judging:

Amateur Division will be judged by the Pro Division.

Pro Division will be judged by the riders in the Pro Division as well as the Am. Div.

Prizes:

To be Determined, assorted goods from the Loft Shop.

Now that stuff is all kinda relative but that is what the office ladies will have so that is what is planned as of now... i know i know i'm sorry we can't get more rails out before then but its going to be a super super busy weekend and we can't be movin' stuff all day and stuff. But i think it will turn out pretty sweet, plus there is another Rail contest that will be even better than this one scheduled for the Night time Big Air weekend, i think same day durning the day time. ALso the judging will probably be a little different than it says, more than likely the Am. will judge the pros. and the everyone will judge everyone in the pro class, boarders and skiers will judge one another... should be cool. And no Skiers and Boarders will not be competeing for the same prizes so they are in different categories.

So there ya have it and if i get a chance later i will try and show you all the layout of the contest, basically it will be the Flats and the Down kink all side by side and you will just hike them as many times as you want and hit them one at a time... also only one person will be able to go at a time... but it should go pretty good....

So everyone tell your friends and everyone you know that they should come out and watch cause it should be pretty neat.... and we need mad competitors.

If you ever catch on fire, don't look in the mirror, cause I bet that would really throw you into a panic!

damn...no s-rail, no wallride...shit...i'm driving 6 hours and paying for a hotel room for this year...oh well, i suppose.

i hope it goes down dope.

there is sking till 3am the night before for practicing on , right?

what is difference between pro and am? are we really expecting PROS-people that are paid to ski? or is there people i don't know about.

difference in pro and am?

and...um...oha yeah yeah yeah

'

i'm comning up with my dad, does this thing go down in a place where people watcH? where he can watch?

Brody

i wont drop out of high school for skiing, mom

Your dad should be able to watch either from the deck of the lodge, or walk up and they might have people watching next to the rails. Pro and Am, probably more spining on and off rails in the pro.

-JMAN-

Hey guys, I cant slide rails, but I just learned a new trick. You spin off a table top and tear your acl at cannonsburg and ruin the rest of the winter. Do you think I'll do good in a rail comp with that trick?

^hahh

alright, welll, i just came on here for the final check.

i'm all packed in the car, and my dad and i are leaving in like 3 minutes.

i should be riding by 11 tonight, i hope. and prorbably till 3am.

see you guys soon, and best of luck to everyone tomorrow morning.

how's did it go? i wish i cloud have been there but no ride, o well.

that's my two cents

School=no money=no skiing=insanity

it went pretty well, the weather didn't exactly cooperate but the set-up was nice and the riding was sick by both the boarders and the skiers...

results:

Pro:

1st- Craig Moore 450 disaster on the kink, 50-50 to boardslide to 270 out

2nd- Tad Feiss switch 450 disaster, 50-50 to boardslide

3rd- Adam Weaver All around smoothness

Am

1st Clint don't know his last name ultimate switch up (switch on, switch up at the kink, switch off)

2nd Steph Osbourne 50-50 the 30 footer

3rd Peter Johns Sick stuff on all 3 rails, um...50-50 to boardslide the kink

If you ever catch on fire, don't look in the mirror, cause I bet that would really throw you into a panic!

Alright, here's my view on the deal yo.

it was dope. so dope.

i don't ever have the opportunity to ride with a crew like today....it was so good to see all over you pushing each other, and just having fun. i just DONT get that chance. and it isn't any big deal to you guys, because like you have it every day...which is another cool thing. you can session like that EVERY DAY. that's insane

no wonder every single one of you guys tore it up. for real, you guys all ride so hard, it's sick. you're the best group of skiers i've seen in the midwest, by far. i don't mean just the FP crew, just everyone that was around there. in general. you all killed it.

i was unknown and unrecognized, but people started knowing who i was , i'm assuming from this here damn ya'll site,....and , everyone was so super nice. really, really nice...made me feel good and a lot more comfortable.

such a nice group of people, such a dope set up. such a chill comp. such a good place to progress. such a place i'll be back to.

i look forward to riding with you guys again, and I really want to thank you....because for real, where i'm from, almost 6 hours northeast of you, there is no one 'like us'.

just to simply see more than me and my 2 friends with hang towels made me feel good...knowing that other people knew why the hell i had a bandana hanging from my pants, and didn't fucing question me about it.

you're a steezy group of riders, and everyone threw down hard today. i really want to thank you guys. i look forward to coming back.

i dont get why you people hang bandanas, i hang a oakley goggle bag cause if your goggles get dirty you can wipe em apose to wiping them on a bandana which would scratch them

Brody man, i'm really glad you had a good time, i hoped you would. Yeah it was good to ride with you for sure. I would have loved to rode with you the night before but as you might have noticed myself Tommy and Travis and Adam all work there and we had to be there early in the morning plus we had to set up all the stuff for the comp so we were left with little time. But yeah man you were killin' those rails and we seriously enjoyed your company and were glad you came out and chilled with us. I promise the Night-time Big Air comp and rail comp that day are going to blow away this comp... We have a few more rails we are workin' on and the set up should be pretty awesome as well, plus the big air will be a blast i think too, with live bands and what not.... So yeah i just wanted to say thanks a ton for coming out we were glad to have you and next time bring a friend or 2.

Later,

Tad

P.S. How about those girls killin' it... A girl getting second in mixed contest... i was super happy with that.

yeah brody if you can keep us informed about ohio's comps and where we need to be when on fp's forum, i know everyone at perfects is pumped about snowtrails comps, and the mwx series but most of us dont check newschoolers forum as much as fp's forum. and for the mwx series you should come down and catch a ride to paoli with us, that comp is guaranteed to be sick but there arent any skiers there, when we go it is usually just a perfect comp at paoli, but they encourage inverts and will build whatever we want. it was killer meeting you and glad you had a good time at the comp, and i promise mwx will be insane compared to this one
