Sorry im new to the site and i dont know if this is the proper place to put this.

well i just started doing rails and i have been doing fairly well on double barelled and flat bars. But the other day at my grandparents i found some pvc pipe(their neighbours are doing renovations and it was in the dumpster outside.) So i took it home and set it up in my backyard, since i have no 2x4's to actually build a make a proper set up, i just found some small blocks of would to prop it up above the ground( its around 20 cm high) when i tried it out i kept falling of half way i tried to session it for and hour and i only made it the whole way a few times. I then sessioned it yesterday and today and am still having the same problem.

is it usually hard to do rails/ piepes taht are large in diameter or do i just suck, lol. any tips on improving balance?

oh and i only ave around 13ft of flat ground to get speed to get on the rail. Is this also a problem.

your doing shitty because your rail is shitty. when you get to a real rail in a real park the problem will go away. some tips: gorilla steeze, hands not in air/flailing, use skis to "lock" onto rail. thats pretty much it, rails are easier with more speed.

the key to rail balance is looking at the end of the rail... thats rlly all there is to it...

that will keep you centered and balanced...

have you feet and hips square with the rail

look at your lock as you come on, and as soon as you hit the rail

focus on the end

Thats the problem, i have been focusing on the end of the rail.

so it has nothing to do with the fact that i have like no speed?

agreed...but you should lower your pants first, because if you lower your pants, then you HAVE to widen your stance to keep your pants from falling down to your ankles...win win situation

If you need help with balance use a slackline it is a strip of webbing that is at high tention and you try to walk across it. Look it up on google

yeah you just mainly need more speed always pop meaning jump up when coming up to the rail have your feet square to it and then 90 but keep spotting the end of the rail and it will work amazing

if your feet arent centered, that would be it. what i did to get my feet centered was: approach the rail sort of on one side, so when i turn like i normally do, i turn so the rail is right under my boot and not my nose. then i slowly got less one sided each time, and now i approach the rail dead center and i get on fine
