Raiding Bee Hives

Hey guys, there's a bee hive at my school, and I am completely obsessed with it. I NEED THE HONEY for some reason, I don't know why, probably just to say I outsmarted a bunch of insects, anyway...

Do any of you know how to raid a bee hive without getting your ass kicked by the bees, and without killing all the bees, I want the honey, not a bunch of dead bees floating around in it. Any help would be great, thanks.

By the way, the hive is in a hollow in a tree if that's any help.

wear one of those protective suit things with the screen masks then just reach in and grab

 
well first of all despite what you may have seen on winnie the pooh the honey isn't just sitting in the hive... its in the form of wax honeycomb which you have get processed into honey- but if you REALLY want it still- a bee suit and a net hat would be in order... plus lots of smoke, it dumbs them down and makes them generally less pissed off at you. But man, they're still gonna be pissed... so just grab and go man, grab and go. Dont kill the queen cuz if you do they will attack you and each other then go invade other hives and do more attacking; resulting in the killing of hundreds of thousands of bees which is never good.

^cool, you could start a gigantic bee war, that would be so cool. I've personally done what you're proposing, you seriously don't have to go all out on the bee suit, attack them at night, and smoke helps, but the key is doing it when it's dark, that and being smart about it, but they can't see you when it's night time.

 
...yeah I dont know how you would get the honeycomb out though if its in a tree- aah I wouldn't do it without the suit! (actually go for it... and post pics) Its a different story when you are actually putting them in a new hive but taking their food?? scary. (but then again I almost passed out a few times putting 2 boxes to into a new hive.. I guess am just a wuss)

just get one of those mesh bee hoods,wear gloves,and most important , use a smoker, thats what professional beekeepers use. The smoke mellows the bees out, kinda disorientates them and makes them docile......don't use bug spray

 
yeah smoking them out is the best way, just gotta wear something their not gonna sting you through

up in vermont where i go, theres these holes in the ground where the ground wasps/hornets live. if you go to a store and grab these bee remover things, and pop one in the whole it kills most of em. its pretty much a legal m80.

 
haha one time me and my friend made these dope ass bee suits outta tons of sweaters and coats and these big ass boots and faces masks and shit. we were unstoppable. so naturally we found this bees nest and smashed the hell outta it and sprayed those little fuckers with windex. they were super pissed! but they couldnt do shit cuz we were wearing bee suits. we really pissed them off and outsmarted them. it was awesome!

they have to be honey bees, and chances are they arent. I heard that there arent realy any natuiral honey bee hives most only grower hives.

Yeah, they hunny bees allright. I've done a bumble-bee nest before and got the honey from that, kinda like regular honey, but more spicy or something, but smoke and going at night are definately key.

I've heard that you can get them to leave the nest by heating it or something and they will go find a nest somewhere else, anyone got anything on that?

Yeah, I'm thinking smoke. I tried throwing pinecones at it yesterday, but the bees didn't do anything. Then I poked the hole with a stick, and they still didn't do anything so I'm getting frustrated.

Maybe u could sneak real close and just grab like one bee. U got to make sure no other bees see you. Then, take it home and kill it. If u do this everyday for a couple months or years, the rest of the bees will be like, 'Yo, this is fu**ed up! Our brothers are disappearing all the time. We gotta leave and find a safer home.' ... then u get all the honey for yourself

you should try to like make a bee suit like that other guy and and just like smoke then out and STEEL ALL THE HUNNY!but leave some sugar cubes for them because its the nice thing to do.

 
is that killer hornet thing real? cuz all the bugs and whatnot look real but all the camera angles look impossible to get. unless they had micro cameras or something....im confused
