tanner needs to shut the fuck up and do something about it. Crying about how much someone else makes IN A COMPLETLY DIFFERENT ARENA is something a baby would do. If he wants more money, he needs to market himself to companies that are willing to pay. Unfortunatly, no company wants to support a stoned, shit talking punk. Skill may get you fame, but it seems he's more interested in making money, which means, instead of continuing to slam all the companies that have the funds to pay him. who's going to pay him millions? armada?? HAHAHAHAAA... how many skis do they sell a year? a few thousand??

I ski the park, I can't hit a lot of pow cause I live on east coast and I don't race. I think race sucks major ass that going downhill throught gates on the iciest line possible really sucks but I still think that it's skiing.

Doing lines on big mountain is skiing, and throwing tricks through a park line is still skiing. it's all diferent part of skiing.

ANd what tanner wanted to said is that nobody fucking give props to newschool skiing to be true skiing.. that only racers gets to be the true skier! and I think that he's fucking right on this one park skiers are true skiers too and they should get more props just as the racers,

Sorry, but reading the actual interview only confirmed to me what I posted earlier. Let take a look at look at what T-dawg said here:

Newschool is huge in the US! while the older crowd still knows more about racing, I think the younger crowd definitely follows the progressive/newschool thing alot more, so why is he whining about being in the shadow of racers? Huh, interesting comment coming from a guy who's sport has been around less than 10 years. Anybody remember ski ballet? Not saying that will happen to newschool, but it's pretty ignorant to say your new thing is going to take out a sport that has been around for a century.

Reason Bode pulls down so much isn't because of our country! It's all euro money and interest in the sport that justifies his contract. Doesn't Tanner get that? and if he does, than why is he bitching about something that's basically going on in Europe? Does he expect the Euros to all start buying the stuff he sells?

This speaks for itself. Anybody can appreciate that doing a downhill at 70,80,90 mph is exciting for some people to watch and takes a huge amount of dedication and skill.

aussiepimp - Being stoned might be a funny excuse for doing/saying stupid shit when we're haning out with our friends, but I can guarantee the grown-up world of professional sports don't think it's very amusing, and don't think too much of someone who gets high and then runs his mouth off to an interviewer.

tanner needs to learn to ski big mountain first. then he can bag a ralves. downhill is so much harder than park in so many different ways. i would laugh my ass off seeing tanner on a pair of 215's skiing a downhill course= entertaining.

this is a pointless debate. why does ti continue? racers are clearly doing their thing while we do ours, let them ski ice if they want to

Tanner hall needs to shut the fuck up and get some respect for the sport in genral. His fat paychecks have gone to his head. From my point of view he's a whiny little bitch. A talented little bitch, but a bitch none the less. As for racing skiers being fags, well some are and some are freaking crazy speed demons. The gayest racer that i know would deffinitly drop into a pipe. If tanner cant respect racers, he needs to quit skiing and strap on a snowboard.

aussie pimp: do you actually think you are gods gift to skiing? do you think tanner saved skiing? that is so untrue. Skiing is resurging because it is fun. More kids are in the park on skis than ever, race programs are bigger than ever, ski for fun type programs are bigger than ever.

For tanner to strap on a snowboard, he would have to learn some respect. I have found snowboarders to be way friendlier to me when Im skiing on my gs boards than ANYONE with twintips. I love skiing in all forms... too bad Im generalized in the same catagory as many of you asshats

because he's 3x defending x-games slopestyle champion on top of his other wins and results. Tanner is the man. The problem is not the baggy clothes and gangster steez, it's that when he was being interviewed, he talked shit on racing in a jealous manner. For those of you who are like 'look how much freeskiing has done for skiing' take a look again. Right now, that comment is creating a rift (gap) in skiing. There's no reason to go there in an interview unless you want to show everyone how jealous you are. Hopefully some of us will learn a lesson from Tanner's mistake. Be stoked on what you have and keep it positive.

 
i like tanner however i'm going to have to agree with bode on this one. in my racing experience i findthat skiing park often helps with balance and agility while skiing gates. every aspect of skiing is connected with each other. thats good, i'm out and i lovemy girlfriend kimwho is making me feel like a poor man suffering! toodles~! shes making love to me right now!

The entire racing world can lick by hairy bean bag. I am so sick and tired of hearing these pussies claim that they are better 'all around skiers' with the work ethic and training it takes to compete at the 'highest' level. Shit, when Tanner rides, although due to the THC content of his blood, and the hight he boosts in the pipe, I would say Tanner skis a high level as well. One.
