Rad toebang

okay so I landed on a tanner and that happened this past weekend. Should I go to my fitter to fix my boots up or is it normal to get massive toebangs like this on bad landings?

you might have to drill a hole in that bitch. Same thing happened to me a few weeks ago, I drilled a small hole in my toenail, let all the sauce come out and it was good as new. But now my toenail is about to completely fall off.

yeah i definitely get this shit drained and it'll prob come off in like 2 weeks. hopefully i'll still be able to ski in the meantime because fuck the downtimes

i had this same thing happen to me on both feet. i lost both nails it sucks, but you should take them to a boot fitter i got more toe room now its not a problem anymore.

I had an injury like this, my toenail ended up falling off my luckily after my time skiing so not much of a problem, i found that it only happens to me though when i wear a particular kind of socks.

tasted decent. wish i knew about the hot safety pin method. I literally took the smallest drillbit i had and drilled through the nail

I had this happen in late January, just taped up my toes whenever I went skiing/Running and both toes are starting to return to color now. I still expect to lose them, but I've gotten footbeds now and will lay off the tail presses a bit.

Pardon my idiocy, but what's the point of draining the fluid if the nail is just going to come off anyway? I lose at least one big toenail per season, it just gets black an blue underneath, not super painful unless its really cold of I smash it really hard, and then falls off around Springtime.

Probably so it doesn't get infected. Or if there's a lot of fluid/blood underneath, it could build up pressure that can be unconfortable or painful if your a pussy about it

Great source of protein and vitamin d

my toe bang usually comes in the form of my toenails breaking in half horizontally and then i wait a few days for the everything to adjust and then peel the broken part forward. the blood blisters form on the tips of my toes and then callus over eventually, but what the shit is a tanner?

once it goes black theres no going back. may need a bit of a pull though like mine did. my problem was that my boot liner had a particularly hard toebox, probably because i had had them for a while. got new full tilts, haven't had toe bang since and they're even a bit too small for me.

Definitely hurts like a bitch when it's cold out! Usually it goes numb then when my foot warms up it hurts like crazy for a few minutes.

All of the pain goes away once the nail falls off though!
