Racism still strong in america

But I have a serious question if we do have a black president can I as I start playing the race card I mean it only seems fair.

I like barack to a point, so i dont want any dem/rep battler here, and i know the anger rev WRONG feels but, but how is pointing the ifnger only at white people, and saying we are the cause of every problem not racism?

ok I didnt read the whole thing but i think racism will always exist, maybe some years it becomes very noticeable some not but there will always be something separating humans whether is race, class, clicks,sex, these will always exist and even if we try hard to make everyone equal thats not how the world works this is why communism is a total failure. I've felt racism and I'm honestly over it.
 
Please, go to a ghetto and go to school there for a few years and then tell me that I am the problem that Rev Wright is talking about. You obviously don't have real experience race issues like I have in the past.

I find it sad that way too many people on this site don't understand or even make an effort to understand what life is like in a black home. Not one of my black friends has their biological dad that lives at home with an entire family. Not one. Most of my black friends live in a jam-packed home full of kids with one mother. It's a way different lifestyle than many kids on this site live, and if you do live that lifestyle I feel for you, because I have seen it time and time again and it's not cool.

I can understand why you guys don't understand it, because most kids on this site have never put themselves in an atmosphere like that. Yeah Rev. Wright said some harsh things, but those are 30 second clips out of his entire career.

And to skiminnesota, I remember Obama distinctly saying that Rev. Wright is like an uncle that says innapropriate stuff that you can't agree with, but you still love him because he's your uncle. He disowned everything he said, not that he disowned his pastor and his church. Honestly, I've given up on trying to argue with you on this issue because I know you won't change until you see it for yourself. This is a real tough issue for me to argue on a site that is 98% white, that live near mountains and not really in or around city atmospheres. If you went out to black households and actually saw what goes on, you would see for yourself finally and then you would understand my points and Rev. Wright's points.
 
Oh and by the way, skiminnesota has gotten more +karma to me, even though he believes differently than I do because he argues his shit so strongly and readily. I don't down karma people who have different beliefs than me, I will down karma kids that say riduculously baseless shit and even though I completely dissagree, he has had a good base and background to what he argues.
 
i really hate how much is being talked about race in this election. Ya hes black and shes a woman but shouldnt this be about policy, not race
 
uhm, dude, black people are not the only people who live in broken homes. just because someone lives in a ghetto doesn't mean they're black. yes the majority of them are not of white decent, but you still can't just make a generalization like that.

also, there are MULTIPLE 30 second clips... it doesn't matter the time anyways, he has repeated his beleifs over and over again and has not renounced them. he truly beleives and preaches his extreme racist and ignorant propaganda.

reverend wright's actions are simply inexcusable.

I have/ do go to a ghetto school were being white I'm in the minority. Most the minorities lower middle class or poorer most the white kids middle class or higher. I have the same teachers, books, class rooms well not true they get books bought by the school which they fuck up kids who can buy them have to buy them. In class I don't sleep, eat, constantly talk, talk back, cuss, bitch and moan about being their every day but alot of them do. I got the same treatment but I used it to my advantage almost all of the middle class kids goes to college or military or a skilled job most of the minorities don't (this is not my opinion our school puts the data togeather). Their are plenty of minorities who go to college but their grades/ test scores are typicaly lower but hay the guy at the top of our class is black took all ap's got high test scores and is from the getto so hey anyone can do anything.
 
Yes I know there are people of other descent that live in the ghetto. I was making that generalization because we are on the topic of black people specifically.

Yeah what he said was politically incorrect, but it did not violate amendment #1 so I don't see how it's unnacceptable. Put yourself in the shoes of a black man or woman. Then tell me exactly how what he said is inexcusable. Also, people still go to his masses, they still listen to him preach. It's not racist propaganda, it's not trying to get people to believe something, it's just showing the other side of the fence on what is a very controvercial issue. Do you think that Reverend Wright was bad, then you would have HATED Malcolm X. Half the shit you see in these Rev. Wright videos are taken straight from Malcolm X. He is taking a stand for black people all around. As I said before, until you immerse yourself in the black community, you will never understand.
 
The only problem is the parents try to get them not to make the same mistake they did and alot of them get a girl preganant or get pregnant. They get arrested for being a criminal or don't have a job.

An example my brother was paying me to fix up his rental duplex in a ghetto neighborhood when I was working the black kids next door were beyond disrespectful they would throw beer bottle cigerett buts on the grass play music to loud, they yelled all the time their were their. I would leave to get food and when I came back I would see them and their friends on the grass I had just planted their were three of them all older than me none went to college had a job or did anything. I tried being nice to them I didn't make to much noise and tried to talk to them when they were being disrespectful ask asked them to stop nicely but they were just assholes. Their mom came back I talked to her and she was so nice and did get them to stop while she was there. The next day she was gone at work they were up to the same crap.

I'm not say black are the only people like that their are people of all colors like that but you get out of life what you put in. I come from a nice house but I work to buy my stuff and when I go out their is nothing stoping anyone from making a better life for themselfs

I have seen exactly what you have. Sorry buddy, Oakland isnt the only place on earth where it happens. And i respect you went and saw what you did, but how can you support stuff that rev wright says? I know many black people who are ashamed of him.

You really think we created aids to bring down the black people? And like others in this thread have said, i lost all respect for Obama when hearing of his connection with wright. You say these are 30 second clips from his speeches? Hes been doing this for 20 some years! And Obama says he doesnt agree with them, but hes been going to the church for 15 years?!?

Serously man be proud of your heritage, dont feel bad for what other have done. Its a new time. People need to move on.

 
I immersed myself in the white community and I don't understand the KKK...dude that doesn't make sense. That's like asking Jewish people to immerse themselves in Nazi culture...It just won't EVER happen. (Sorry if I offended any jewish people there)
 
People say they want the truth then rip it apart and condemn whoever tells it like it is. A large majority of the US population is highly subjective and ignorant. I see this attitude coming from the baby boomer's and generation x. Racism will never go away, everyone has racists thoughts, you're a liar if you deny that. Those thoughts will never go away. Humans judge others by appearance, even if you don't mean to do it, you do. Racism will never go away, it's in our blood to judge others by appearance, it's the natural thing to do, you can't teach anyone not to judge by appearance. But what you can do, is teach people to not act out on those judgments. Only then will people start to realize how ignorant they really are and how subjective they can be.
