Racing

it was funny one day cause i just learned to carve hard switch and these racers were being an ass to me and my friends so i was like ok....we skied up behind them and when they stop to go down the gates cause it was a practice day i cut infront of one and did the whole course switch really fast....scared the shit out of me but they shut up and didnt bug us anymore

i didnt mean that you cant learn other ways, all i ment was that it is one of the ways to learn, not that it was the only way

there should def be a team where for the morning u race, and in teh afternoon u ski the park and on powder days ski the the powder... the kids on that team would be able to rip everything

actually thats what im usually doing training in the gates in the morning and then hit the park in the afternoon though i get into lots of trouble with my coaches cos of it its definitely worth it cos i love skiing every part of it

most park tricks is all guts anyway, it has nothing to do with racing. my friend who races is slowly getting in to freestyling and he does nothing but straight airs.

im not saying that happens for evryone, just certain people. And the part about the balls, they are probably more comfortable on their skis and know like how fast to go and shit.

your a fucking retard... first of all a noob??? how is a racer a noob if he can ski better than you, which you admited. second i know plenty of racers that can hit up the park just as well as a lot of people.. you bitching about them is the same thing as them being an ass to you, so your on the same level as them. so dont bitch about them being assholes either

I hate most racers but thats just because the ones i have seen probably never come out of there arse, but i have a friend that races and hes a pretty cool guy

i'm a racer and i like it even tough i can't go in the park often...but i'm sure i ski way better then all these park rangers! and by the way, people who quit race to do freestyle improve much faster then the ones who just "know" how to ski...still i think that a skier have to respect skiers...even tough he's a racer!

i hate racers

I think the average racer is soem fag who thinks he's bode miller and can't do park at all

then he goes through the park doin boxes straight and one - footers on ride - on rails

i dont like racing. But only because most of them are little cocky bitches and when they start skiing park there the same way.

All the kids I rip big mountain lines with grew up racing gs, superg and downhill. It just gives you confidence with loading, positions and edging. I'm the only one in my crew that didn't grow up racing (since I started skiing late) If I could go back in time I would have raced untill I was 18 then started freeskiing.

I Race but i dont get along with most of the tudeed out racers there. I have some friends that race but i rahter be on my twins in the park with my crew anyday over that, Racing can be fun ezpeically speed events, and gets me on the snow alot.

I am a racer and i hate beeing asociated with all the other racers cuase there cocky bitches that think they own the hill and it suck cuase im the only one in my club with out a matching jacket and some of my dick coaches treat me like shit and dont help me cuase of stuff like that and the other problem with beeing a racer is when u go into the park and everyone hates u.

yeah because your an ignorant asshole who cant stand diversity in a sport. skiing would suck if it was all freestyle man, it would be a little worse than snowboarding.

i gues body miller daron ralves and ted ligety aren't bad in skiing park or freeriding.ted ligety was discovered 5 years ago while he was powder skiing. the coaches asked him to join the team and he answered that he want to try tomorrow because the powder was so good that day!

yeah like when i was watching next snow search and stuff the people doing the big mountain races aren't that good, but they're really confortable in the air. Why don't they do skydiving?

Being comfy in the air is what makes a good park skier. You dont have to be good at anything else.

I'm sure a lot of freestyle skiers are racers.
