Racing VS Freestyle

Racing is probably the most fun thing you can do on skis. Its a great rush, going fast, fast, fast. And then hitting the gates and going faster. I like congrigating with all my race buddies with our hoods up checking out each others interior modifications, I probably am the fastest skiier on newschoolers, Ive hit atleast 100mph coming out of the last blue gate on the grand championships of West. Freestyle skiing is cool, I tried it for a little, but its kinda dumb, skiings meant for racing, snowboarding is meant for tricks, it has been this way for decades and you rebels wont change anything. Freestyle skiing is pointless because you can do so much more with REGULAR ski's. New Zealand, a true masters continent. I am par-taking in the NZ Alpine Masters race, and I am 1 of 114, which means im going to come in first, I will win, all other skiiers cant ski like me. Im quick, nimble, and get right down to the point of my 185cm Salomon Equipe 2v Race skis. I wont dis you all, and say that basically freestyle skiing is really dumb and pointless, but I will, go to the extremity of saying if everyone on this website raced, it would be a better community. Instead of Who can do the best 360. Who can beat my record, 1/4th mile 30 seconds from dead stop to go. Freestyle skiing, just plain sucks, your style sucks, you all suck, if your going to freestyle just snowboard, its that easy. If your too attatched to your gay poles, bring them snowboarding and stick them in the butts of your fellow 'new-skoolers'. Im out

The best part about park is that its not all about money. Racing is all about who has the most money to get all the new racing skis with perfect texture and perfect edges. Its not hard to hold an edge when you get new skis ever week
 
Yeah because anyone who's smart, races, your dumb, park is for snowboarders, skiiers are meant to race.

Its easy to list accomplishments when you have so many, you would'nt know that Mr. I can hardly 360.

There is no way freeskiing is more diverse than racing, theres so many little techniques you have when you race, so many more things to worry about theres no point in freeskiing

Most of us here are already experienced skiers. Some of the best freeskiers were ex racers or competitors in moguls and things like that. For the most part, to be a freeskier you have to be a pretty damn good skier to begin with. You just like to list accomplishments that we aren't even sure you really did.

...I liked racing when i was younger but i don't miss it at all. It was snotty kids like you, and thier rich parents that bring in all the fucking politics.

I've traded my 3Vs for twins a while ago and i'll never go back. I ski for me know (well and maybe for that cute girl who is always sitting at the top of the park hehe)

What kind of course were you in that you hit that speed? Untill I hear some answers that prove you only half full of shit instead of completly then im calling straight up bullshit
 
first off, this could very well be an alias.

second, this guy listing his accomplishments is prob BSing most of them. And buddy, a 1/4 mile in 30 seconds prob isn't that hard. I'll admit i haven't tried it but all you gotta do is get into a good bullet and you'll be fine.

Lastly, I love racing. I also love freestyle. And although I may have raced longer than freestyle and I'm a much better racer than I am freestyle, I still agree with the guy quoting tanner ^up there.

Let's be serious, you're probably a brutal racer, you are probably like 12 yrs old (or at least act like one) and you prob are just saying all this shit cuz you wanna make us think ur good when you aren't. so stfu!

i raced for 5 yrs so i could get to be a strong skiier (and my parents made me) and as soon as i got a choice i got myself some twins, and trust me im never going back!

plus you guys ware spandex... ew

okey dokey, here i go. first off, get off your fucking stool and realize what type of site you are on. ok so your a hot shit NZ racer. 1 out of 114, and you will win, really, so your cocky as shit. as a racer you would know that anything can happen on any day. don't take shit for granted, it comes back and haunts you. so you think your all hot shit w/ your ranking, well don't worry you aren't the only who can race on this site. don't know if you have hear, but NASTAR is us racing thing, yes its family racing, and yes its not the masters, but still tons of competition. 1 out of 96,233. .53 slower then Daron Ralhves. any way enough of that shit. freestyle is by far much more diverse then racing. you have 4 disciplines in racing. kinda gets bored after a while. w/ freestyle you can do any thing, make shit up if you want. it may not be as main stream, but its less about the money, the competition, and more about just having fun w/ your buddies. maybe one of the reasons why you hate it is because you have no buddies to ski with, so you are reserved to racing.

That's probably the most retarded and incorrect statement that I have ever heard. Yes there are techniques to racing, I know, I race. But I also ski park and I can tell you that there is a lot more technique and skills needed in order to ski park well.

yeah sure, racing is mad fun. i am an X racer myself and i am getting back into it this year. i ride atomic GS11's whick is probably one of the fastest skis the world has ever seen. but really, there is no reason to brag about yourself and then say that freesking style sucks. if you dont like us, leave.

Stfu you dumnass, freestyle skiing and racing are two completely different things but just share the same tools. actually not even the skiis are the same. Stop being such an egocentric bastard and respect what other people are capable of doing that you might not have the ability to. I understand that you love to race and obviously everyone would defend their own sport, but it's not like...every new skiier will go into freestyle, racing will still exist regardless of how the sport evolves. If the only thing you can do is come on the forums and bitch at all the people here then you might as well go spend some time training and be more productive towards your own goals, if you ARE such a great racer, you should be focused on YOUR OWN goals instead of sticking your head up ppl's asses to see what they're up to, and criticize their actions. Basically, get a life you bitch.
