Haha "Salomon Equipe 2v" what a waste of the earths resources those skis really are.

To be fair I used to race and there were a lot of people just like that! (well not quite that bad) People who protested that Salomon made the best race skis on the market and used to wear catsuits and training shorts on a normal ski day.

Skiing is about having fun

If you're having fun is racing, going fast and wear spandex suit, that's fine

But don't come on this site saying that freestyle sucks ass just to get attention or anything else

And please, stop comparing freestyle vs racing, that depends only on people opinions. Im my opinion, freestyle is the future of skiing but some people don't agree with that and it's OK.

Skiing is just one big sport that people practice the way they want, some freestyle, some freeride, some race, and some do all of that.

So relax, chill-out, get off your computer and go ski(in your spandex suit if you want)

Come Try keep up in the big mountain arena In the Alps or on pow day at whistler and put your race skills to a real test. Sure downhill is sick, and so is super g, but its only fat assed racer little bitches like you that talk shit on something you arent that good at, Big mountain is the ultimate in Skiing . And I know freeskiers that will Kick your fukin ass down anyrace course, go bigger in the pipe and then cork 7 a fukin 60 foot cliff in a big mountain comp and stomp the landing this person I speak of was even a junior olympic champ for racing, .. Some racing is Sick but Racers like you are the reason skiing is percieved by many as tight suits and gay attitudes.. ya that says alot. and who the fuck cares what u wanna do whether its racing or fuckin round in the park. you just gotta learn to not hate freeskiers cus they do different shit on a pair of skis than u do. so fuckin chill out skiing is supposed to be a group of people brought together by one interest of just skiing not a group split up because they have a different point of view on the whole subject of skiing.

the guy who made this thread is a retard. Most of the good freestyle skiers are ex-racers or mogul skiers.

its just stupid to tell us that we ski 'wrong' and should just snowboard. We ski how we want and have fun doing it. You race and have fun doing that or whatever. So shut up, you are not welcome on this website.

I used to race. I didnt like skiing as much as i do now when i raced. I was alos good, i was ranked 7th in NY but i didnt like the sport. My dad wanted me to keep doing it so i can go somewere with it. I watched sessions 1242 and it changed my life now switching to lookin at skiing as a art and lifestyle. I deeply feel in love with it. Thiers alot of variety in the sport, everyone has opinions. Why did you even have to post that, we odnt care what you think....
 
yo dood. freestyle and racing both can merge. most pro rippers come from a racing background. its pretty hard to have as good of style just skiing around if you dont have a racing bakcground. park rats who never have raced or recieved pro coaching might have steeze in the park but you take them onto a freerun and they have the worst style ever. inside hand drops. lean on the backseat. cant carve all that well. worst A frame ever... anyways im sure that there are a select few that havent had coaching and still have good skiing form. but for the most part this blanket statement is one that holds true at almost every hill.

Tanner will get down the race course just as good as those racers will get down the pipe, any r-tard with some skis can make it down a race course, it's all about who can do it fast and it's the same thing with pipe, anyone can ride one but not anyone can slay that shit like they own it

have to agree they wouldnt throw as many (if any) tricks but theyd still make it down. similar concept.

i liked what you said until you started flaming freeskiing i like to race and its great for my skiing but its nice to mix it up and ski park. skiing a regular run gets boring if your stuck on the same mountain all the time like i am and it brings a new challenge to the sport. plus you are hating on a sport that this website revolves on. (not very smart). you may be good but its kids like you that give racing a bad name.
 
As I have said before...park skiing is such a completely different facet of skiing compared to racing. Yea a racer may not be able to shred a park well (but surprisingly to the ignorant crowd here many of them can and are quite good).

On the other hand when it comes to real skiing...aka big mountain, backcountry, groomers, trees, etc...I would put a racer up against ANY park rat any day of the week. Racers are some of the best skiers on the mountain. I find it hilarious park people still bash the racers when its so obvious many many of them are horrendous skiers. See them everyday at my home mountain those fucking clowns.
