Whoever is on here who races and thinks that is where it's at, doesn't belong here. This site should be for interaction between Adrenaline Junkies and mad jibbers.

You should fuck off for that post. You see, racers and ex-racers can actually turn...unlike a lot of jibbers. And I know some racers that are some of the best jibbers in the world. Like...Jeff Harrison. He'll be in next year's NS Media film for sure. And he's on the US Team.....number one downhiller in the world in his age group the last 2 or 3 years.

Jon Olsen used to race....Seth Morrison...Philou......and a lot of your favorite big mt. guys.

So lay off on the racers....there's just as many punks and assholes in freeriding as there are in racing.

yeah man, you obviously don't know what you're talking about. Soo many freeskiers and jibbers have racing backgrounds. Racers are definitly the most versatile skiers on the mountain.

i race but my life revolves around newschool, i freeride dont enjoy the racing shinanigans at all but its a good rush, get a week off school so i can race for 30seconds and its really not that bad, you get to go really fast and cut the lift line.

 
dude, i've skied freestyle for 4 years now, but i've alsoraced skiercross since it started, and to anyone who says its gay, i chalange you to try it, 30mph down a run with jumps, gaps, bumps, gates, you name it its there, oh not to mention the fact that there is 6 other guys pushing and running into you. so think twice before downing racers, not all of us are spandex assholes. skiercross racers are some of the toughest, most versitle skiers there are.

i have skied all my life, never raced, i dont mind racers but i dont like it when the hardcore racers come into the park and do a massive 50\50 down the wide fun box, and part of it is they dont even wait there turn, just ignorent. and just because i dont race are you saying i cant ski, well i am prolly better than alot of the racers around in my home town, and yes i am freinds with alot of racers but i just dont dig the spandex!

 
SPandex is not gay. The only reason we where it is to go FASTER. 30mph on a skiercross course? try 130 kmh on a downhill course. I don't know the conversion in mphs, i'm canadian...but yeah, as far as i'm concerned downhill suits are fucken cool, unless you want to go slow..

Whoa...easy there bap. Spandex isn't gay if it serves a purpose. I know....on a downhill course it's like 3 seconds faster. But I don't think I'd use it in a skiercross. You're not going fast enough to make a difference....and there's a lot of contact. But yeah....Downhill is burly and damn scary. And you'd be an idiot to not do it in a downhill suit.

doing downhill races is so damn mint, i gurantee that 90% of the people here would shit them selves if they tried it, try going 130 km in a downhill then hitting a huge ass jump and going 100+ in the air, it has to be the biggest rush ever, and about the whole spandex thing, downhill racing would suck without it you wouldn't go nearly as fast and going as fast as humanly possible is what makes it fun

haha... word up to the racers :) jsut becuase somebody races at one point in their life, and thinks they're the shit for that point, doesnt mean they arent going to change. if you want to be a racer, be a racer, if you want to jib, then jib, if you want to race until you get good enough to jib, then do that. whatever floats your boat. of course, i would be the one to talk. sketchy dudes.
