Racers should be exiled from the terrain park

THe other day me and my buds were skiing and were standing on the landing of a jump but were completely away from where people actually land and were getting rdy to hit a rail. moments later we see some red/white jacket racers going mach 5 down the park so we move for them. but then this 50 yr old racer (probably their coach) goes flying threw the landing yelling "thats not a good place to stand!" and he almost fucking kills one of my boarder friends .

Racers... Burn in hell
 
Don't stand on the landing next time... Stand on the knuckle, but off to the side, where people can see you.
 
i seen a racer almost kill a little girl. What pisses me off is the fucken ski patrol hardly ever yell at them but, if i so much as pop a foot off a rut on the cattrack, they chase me down. I used to race and shit but fuck em. shits so gay and structured.
 
but racers are soooooo coooool. they have slick suits and can go so fast. we shud all look up to them becuz they are all badass hotshots!

b. many racers are a lot better at every discipline than some park skiers, including park, they just happen to also race
 
These poo-for-brain people aren't necessarily racers; i've seen a load of different people do stupid stuff in the park:
Boarders sitting on landingsGaper mom and dad taking their little kids rolling over the kickersracers(ranging from 5y old racers to 70y old coaches) lightningbolting through the park scaring the shit out of ppl and cutting me offThug skiers skipping line at jumps or paying no regard for what is happening (i've seen a 5y old kid getting wiped out on a jump, then being skied over by a thug who didn't find it necessary to pay attention to other ppl/wait in line... The little girl was rushed to the hospital but was luckily only suffering from a concussion...)Thereby my next poo-for brain ppl: Little kids going too huge or too small on jumps, going sideways off rail kickers, zigzagging through kickerlines,etc...Old people plowing through the park, making pictures of eachotherSkipatrol, telling my friend it's forbidden to invert (he was doing 3s ...)Poo for brain shapecrews closing off the part of the park that's in the best condition and leaving the most dangerous and icy part open + working slower than i could possibly work(^^and no, they weren't shaping for a contest or whatever, it was regular park maintenance and they decided to close off the big air line that was in perfect shape, no ice, solid landing and take-off, proper speed, etc..)while the rest of the park, the smaller jumps and rails were all skied to pieces by gaper folks, the little kickers eroded to the point that only two bumps Left and Right remained...
/End rant: you shouldn't ban racers; you should only ban people acting retarded, not thinking about what they do....

i agree that kids who race their whole lives and never learn to ski can be bitch asses, but saying racers should burn in hell is the most ignorant and fucking retarded thing you can say and the dumbest generalization. i freeskied for 14 years, then started racing when i was 16, and now i do both and i can say that racing has been the best thing i can imagine for my skiing. it completely changed the way i ride, it made me a more solid skier, and it gave me the ability to ski twice as hard/fast. now when i take that into freeskiing i can absolutely slay /claim. the majority of kids on my race team respect the hill, respect other skiers, and are just out there to train and ski, not to go piss off assholes who stand on the landings of jumps (btw you're a retard)

i'm sick and tired of jibbers hating on racers. i'm not saying all racers are super awesome kids, some are massive entitled dick bags, but i hate to break it to you, so are a lot of jibbers. i find the jibber attitude is at times worse than the racer attitude. just because you're wearing a g suit doesn't mean you own the hill and can go on being a bold asshole and hating on other kids on the hill

"jibbers should be exiled from groomers". i was at mt snow and i happened to almost hit a group of 4 assholes filming eachother attempt to ski down a groomer...funny the all had ns stickers on their helmets, and were standing in the middle of the fucking trail, and literally did not know how to ski outside the park

every single time i ski i see faggots in baggy clothing having trouble skiing down a groomer!!! at least racing teaches you not to hold both poles in one hand and slash your tails with your feet together, it teaches you how to actually ski, how to get power out of your turns, and how to be a strong skier. from there it's your choice what you want to do with those skills, but hating on racers is absolutely pointless and it's starting to really piss me off

skiing is about having fun, so obsessing over who you hate is the recipe for missing the point of skiing
 
i mean a lot of racers have more guts to go big than the park rats who never learned to ski...im not ripping on park skiers i'm just saying that while one racer may have been a dick, most aren't
 
well that's not true, but a lot of freeskiing pros started out racing

i'll bet 80% or more of them raced at some point in their youth
 
Any part of the landing is not "out of the way". Adam Delorme takes out the Breck flags from time to time when he goes completely from one side to the other. Maybe you should get out of the way, I can't stand kids like you.
 
your missing the point yourself. skiings not about having fun, its all about how you look and what you wear on the hill
 
A lot of ex-racers are now killing it in the freestyle arena. I think Eric Hjorleifson used to be in racing, along with many others. Fuck, look at Jon Olsson! Racing will teach you a lot about technique and how to ski.
 
A few days ago in my park it was real icy and there was a group of us gettin ready to test out the jump no one had hit it yet and then this racer kid comes in with his speed suit and asks "how fast should i go" we said we don't know were about to speed check it he called us pussies and dropped in going way to fast went off the 40 footer and took it like 80 to flat and broke his collerbone i felt kinda bad but i was laughing at the same time.
 
the problem is not only racers. its because people dont take the park seriously. they think the park is where you can go to just fuck around and do whatever you want. which is wrong. im not saying park should be super structured, but people should take seriously.

I raced when I was younger and i would be half the skier that i am now if i did not race. Some racers are assholes some jibbers are assholes some snowboarders are assholes. Saying that all racers are assholes is like saying that all indians are assholes.

But yeah its not racers its everyone who doesn't read the orange signs or abide by them as stated above this is a very good argument for the holy grail of a park pass / private park but even then people will still do it IMO so we just have to deal with it
 
I broke several fingers trying to ski a pipe that had been hit by a

racing team and had moguls in the flat bottom. Accidentally popped off

a mogul and bailed straight into the wall. That sort of stuff is ridiculous, but I have no problem with racers just bombing through the park straight airing all the jumps.
 
i prefer having racers in the park than outta control noob park skiers who just learned how to ski last year and cant executive a proper turn.
 
dude i've raced for like 12 years (2nd year with out it) but honestly it really helps...just saying.. i dont you should be mad at all racers because some little noobs were being retarded. i had so many park rat kids when i was growing up. as long as ur not being a dick,troll,noob, or just being a fuckin idiot i think we should all just share our mountains!
 
Some of freeskiings big names have gotten their skiing roots from ski racing. Not to mention racers have more balls than probably most of NS including myself.
 
i see where you are coming from, but even if you think you are out of the way landings are a really bad place to stand.
 
no comment on the OP. but it is retarded when youre standing on the deck and some douche who can barely make it to the jump tells you to not stand in the way. uhh youre not supposed to land on this big flat part dumbass..
 
hahaha, i can tell you since im a racer as well, that i get even more pissed when a gaper or some gay park kid poaches the course, i hate it even more than racers in the park, but if they can rip it.... props!

if you look at most of the successful freestyle skiers today they all started out racing
 
This makes no sense? You've had many park rats when you were growing up? What does that mean, cus it sounds kinda gay?
 
you never see any racer snowboarders in the park, you want to know why? only skiers race! lets fix this problem and ban all skiers from the park! yeah! fuck em!
 
i love getting stuck on the chair with some racers. "Where do you buy your steeze?", I heard those helmets make it easier to do dub cork 5's" " dose that suit make you more aerodynamic when you fight or just cooler?".
