Racers not allowed in the park

I ski a Mt washington and just found out yesterday that this season racers aren't allowed in our park if they have they're racing jacket on or racing skis on! It's awesome!

im on r schools race team and the school said that we cant go in to the park during prac or a race, which sucks but we do it anyway

thats bullshit, so if u race u have to buy 2 pairs of skis to ski in the park? or 2 jackets just to ski in the park? thta makes no fucking scence! i agree with no lessons or families but i mean come on?

 
Yeah I dunno about that. I don't race but I know a lot of racers that are very good freeskiers and some just cant afford 2 pairs. And besides, I have twin tips and normal rossis...what if for some reason I had to use the rossi's one day? That would suck.

I think lessons and little little kids shouldnt be allowed in, especially for liability purposes. However, a lot of race teams don't allow the racers to jump anyway, so a ban on them isn't that extreme.

2day at the mountian i was at all the racers were jumpin off the side of the jumps for the rails and i was gonna go hit a rail and a racer cuts right in front of me so i gotta like turn out of the way and shit and he goes off the side and falls down... its not that racers r bad people... but i think sometimes they come across as thinkin that they like own the whole mountain

nice! at my hill the racers think they are the 'Cool' people with their blue racing jackets, they hang out with the instructers and shit, its so fuckin gay, i avoid the staff as much as possible

i saw a kid on race skis throw a 7 the other day but 2 min later i saw a bunch of guys racing on their fancy race skis cut a kid off and he ended up nutting himslef

 
it doesnt matter who goes in the park, as long as they hit objects the way they are meant to be hit. meaning, they go straight off jumps clearing the whole table, or they use the jump in front of the rail FOR the rail, things like that. and they wait for shit, they dont snake everyone just cause they have to get back to their race. also, there should be rules where you have to be able to ski not using a snowplow to be able to even ski through the park.

 
theres this kid at r hill who is awsome in the park and then today(never once this yr practices racing or even tried out his race skis)he takes top 5 at r race. that kid is good

This one kid I know is on the nor am circuit and he occasionally goes into the park...he is incredible. That is completely stupid.

 
yeah that whole jacket and race ski thing is kind of bad idea. Like I have a pair of race skies and I don't suck that bad at jumps. I could see no racers in coats during events or practice but not just anytime. I know a few racers that are pretty bad ass in the park. I agree with whoever said that they shouldn't let families in. Its not cool when a family with like 4 kids under 9 wedge the lips of jumps and cut people off.

i hate all u faggots that think your the shit beacause you knock racers all the time saying thety cant ski and always get in your way. And the racers are still allowed in the park as long as it is not on their training time, cause if they break their neck, there coach gets in big shit. At least that is how it works for me.

And RAcers can do something that all you on this site cant, they can TURN!!!

I think everyone who really wants to be in the park should be allowed even if they are pussying out or are young kids riding off booters, those kids will probably be going huge in the next few years even if it's not fun at the time in the long run you have to appreciate the people who are even thinking about freestyling everyone has to start somewhere.

The jacket thing is bull, but the ski thing is a semi good idea, although you shouldnt have to buy two pairs of skis to ski park. Thats kind of stupid. In order to go through the park you should have to have a special pass or something

when i'm in the park i normally get talked to about my bandits - as it supposedly 'trashes' the pipe lips etc

it is rather stupid discriminating people because of the sidecut of their ski's - what jacket they are wearing, and if they enjoy super fast skiing :)

all the people who go on about racers being shit etc - are probably just 11 year old kids who are jelous of their friends rah

Yeah for real banning racers from the park is like banning freestyle skiers fro skiing diamond trails. The park is meant to be used and who gives a shit whos hitting the jumps as long as they know what they are doing. I have never met a racer who wasnt an awesome skier and couldnt rip shit up on and off the race course. All you that have a grudge against a fellow skier need to look at how pathetic your own technique is and maybe take some tips from skiers that can actually carve. I mean where do you think that skiing actually came from?

if the racers do trix they should be allowed in the park. its also gonna mean more work for the mountain cause there gonna have to ckeck everybodys ski's before they go into the park. its gonna just be a waist of time

just because someone is better then someone else they have the right to be dicks? so like today when this little kid went the wrong way and was in a pretty nasty area and asked me for a safe way down, since im better then him i can be like fuck you dude im not your mom go whereever you want? no so just because someone is better then you doesnt give that person the right to be a jackass

 
i have a big problem with restricting people to certain areas of the mountain.

If i pay 56 bucks for a lift ticket, i dont want anyone telling me where i can and cannot ski. That's bogus. They can't allow only certain people in certain areas.. I'd be pissed if i was a racer.
