Racers against freestylers! who owns the mountain?

Racers SUCK!! i'm not saying that because they wear spandex or anything but because they're all a bunch of cock blocks who think they own the mountain and shit. And racers aren't that great... i beat a racer at skiercross at the invitational... and so did fucking 11 year old (the racer was 15). Seriously racers suck balls they just don't know it. I have never met a racer that doesn't have severe issues with bragging or anything (none of these comments apply to people that switched out of racing and into freeskiing).

i don't anymore, highschool is done and my uni team wears the spandex.

 
racing helps big time, i recommend to any kid looking to be a good freestyler to take a racing course or something, it helps big time.

it is like comparing apples and oranges we are both good at what we do and makes up happy i am a far better racer than at freesking but i still do both

It depends on the chief of mountain affaires. Some years its us that rules, some years it isn't. This year at the Relais it was the race. Damn race team we have, they use our jumps and bumps for their pleasure of destroying them.

bullshit , who cares bout freestyles or racers and who owns the mountain, we are freeskiers arent we and the mountain is just the tool to do what ever you want on skis anyway

i think the faggot that started this thread should realize that racing is just another great form of skiing and should stop starting shit within the sport, hes probally only been skiing for a few years and cant do shit outside the park thats if he can even throw down when hes in the park anyhow

 
haha, i was bombin hills at bristol, and ski patrol stopped me at the bottom of the hill cause we outskied the shit out of htem, and asked if we were racers. i laughed, pointed at my trouble makers, and skied off.

Being a college racer is DOPE! Competing in a Div. 1 sport, traveling all over, using the football programs gym...free person trainers, massage etc...

That's because they're trained to absorb jumps. It's faster that way...

I know quite a few racers that can throw down big spins in the park. What they usually don't realize is how bad they look. No style, always hucked. Then again, I don't think they really care either.

people like me own the mountain: people who can hold it down anywhere, haul ass and carve, shred pow, or look sick in the park...that's who "owns the mountain"
