depends on the rader, sure alot of racers talk big about being going huge in the park when they dont, but so do a lot of our kind. only hate on the racers who act like they're the shit, and ski irresponsibly around other people

Wow, you're what drags skiing down Bristol. If you knew anything about skiing you would know that to be a good skier you need all around skiing skills. And whether you like it or not, racers are the best skiers on the mt. It takes lots of skill to be a good racer, not a lot of skill to be good in the park. People train their whole lives to be semi-competitive racers while people like Turpin can show up on the freeskiing scene and kill it. Plus, most racers I know are awsome people and can throw down in the park. I race, or I use to hardcore when I was in high school and I was damn good too. Now i do all jibbing but when I go visit my old friends who still race, the first thing they say is 'lets go hit the park' they train when they have to but our whole team loves to hang out at the park. The top skier our team who actually won state last year i believe can throw down. His 7s are sooo smooth and he can do rails like a maniac. Bottom line, you're a little kid

 
i have three problems with racers

1. they think they are hot shit

2. they cut across crowded runs like theyre the only ones there and cut everyone off

3. they talk shit like no other

yeah bristolrider, suck my balls. racers are the few remaining skiers how actually know how to ski and use their skis to the best of the skis performance. sure people talk shit, but so do alot of jibbers. open your fucking eyes.

 
I don't really interact with many racers, but I like to make fun of their spand-ex! haha...

Its not the sport I dont like, ski racing is cool. It produces the best skiiers in the world. Look at Alberto Tomba, he was so powerful he could do a stading backflip on the snow, IN his ski boots. And sometimes the racers at my Mnt. piss me off, but then everybody pretty much does. Ive seen some of them do big mountain, and they kick ass. They have great picture perfect form.

 
What's with the hate on NS? 'I hate snowboarders' or 'I hate racers' or the ever present 'I hate Bush' or whatever. Give it up, stop hating. Racers can ski really well, and some of them can ride park extremely well also. Skiers(racers or whatever else), and snowboarders all enjoy the mountains. Leave it at that.

Take it up with me, i can ski circles around anyone outside a park, and i respect anyone on skis in the park. Infact i consider myself inferior in the park.

Yes Spandex Sux hardcore major ass. The whole cutting other people off on the hill, well it is kind of because these other people are too slow. We don't mean to cut people off, we just are trying to go by them. Heck if you were skiing to the park, and there were 20 people skiing across the hill and snowplowing, would u stop and have a good cup of tea and write poetry until they were done skiing? i think not.

And yea sure, everyone has cocky annoying people in their sport, so why discriminate agaist that type of people because you've had bad experiences. Heck i've met some superb new schoolers who act like they are the shiz. No matter what you do, someone g@y will always be there.

 
i get the whole cutting slow people off, i do it too, but its when they have the whole team practicing down the side of the run in a line and im trying to get to the other side that pisses me off, and also when the stuck up snobby racers, which is only some racers, that spray ppl standing at the top of the park, and drop in without waiting or calling
