Racer Kids haters!!! Tell your story

all the racers at my home mountain are mad chill, we all ski park together and raced together.

i raced for 3 years and i think it made me a better skier

so don't hate on racers
 
i raced for 7 years, it made me a good skier. yes alot of them are pricks, but there are some that slay the park
 
i use to be a racer but i would ditch the team to go ski park. so i got into park

one thing i hate about racers are that they set up their course and when they take it down theres all these deep ass grooves. other than that i dont care
 
i don't know if this is a common occurence or only at Killington but when ever there's a race the swarms of racers and their parents leave all there trash, food, and other shit lying on the tables. Not one of them picks there shit up, they leave it for the next person who has to sit there or the staff in the lodge who's job isn't fucking garbage collector. That shit just pisses me off because they have no respect for my mountain.
 
I'm a freshman and joined my High School race team this year along with a few other NS'ers, During drylands we had a great time and everyone was super supportive and stuff and they were interested in our freestyle background. We had our first practice the other day and my friends and I were rockin' our twin tips and baggy gear, and they thought we were really good. There was no hate on either side and we had a really good time. Plus it's just more time on the mountain and it will help my technical skiing ability a ton. All in all, I respect all aspects of our sport and we should hate the asshole racers but not the sport itself.

im a racer and i fucking hate it when im in my speed suit and all the park rats are making fun of me and all this bullshit, but i dont say shit about them.
 
^ shut the FUCK up man, im not saying that im a sick skier because i am not, i was just proving the point that racers can freestyle ski as well, which many people have already stated, your a fag dude, i thought it was an pretty sick edit because of the editting and for 3 FULL TIME RACERS its not that bad dude...
your an asshole, its people like you that make this site really shitty, think about what you say man, goddamn people like you annoy me, jeez dude. i was just getting my point out that not all racers are stuck up assholes who spend a shitload of money on stuff, some work their asses off because they want to be a good at a sport they love, and i love skiing in the park man, if i ever stop racing really competitively thats where ill be, but seriously dude, don't be such a fuckin asshole

i definitely dislike most of the racers ive met. even when i talk to the 10-12 year old racers on the lift, they are all cocky. obviously there are chill racers, so i cant hate on them as a whole, but i have not met many cool racers. and im really tired of hearing racers saying that they know how to ski soooo much better than everyone else and that park rats cant actually ski.

funny story. on the lift at hood this summer i was riding with 2 teenage racer girls. probably 14 years old. they were both singing the andre nickatina song ayo for yayo, and then they stopped and one asked the other "what does yayo even mean?" i lolled real hard
 
i race for my highschool and honestly i love it. i also do park but racing is great its rly intense and ive met a lot of sweet people

i have nothing against racers except when they act like they own the fucking mountain, and are the hottest shit ever invented

Alaska must have some chill racers...every skier I grew up with was a racer, who all eventually quit and kill it in the backcountry instead.
 
i stopped racing this year and i was still doing park for the last couple years as well as a lot of kid i know who race too , i raced for 8 years and loved it .... grow up racing is sick mang ...
 
I know this kid that races. I hate him because of it. Usually on the weekends in Lake George we cruise the lake together and have a few beers but I hate him because he races. Sometimes when we're in each other's cities, we'll meet up and buy each other a few beers, chase girls, and talk about snow conditions but I hate him because he's a racer. Can you believe I even had this bastard over on Thanksgiving to watch ski movies with Schmuck, JF, and I? What a piece of shit...

Grow up kids. Hating on another skier because of how they ski is the lamest thing ever. Get to know someone. God for bid, you might find out that they're more than just a ski racer and in some cases, they could end up being your best friend.

and if im not mistaken, were you the racer last year that i saw do a mute 5 in old smoothing on no twintips? were you the kid that was landing switch with single tipped skis, which takes tremendous sack?

Team Alpental Snoqualamie I raced with people from that team, they like the lettered abbreviations, like i skied for MBSEF (mt bachelor) as a part of PNSA (pacific northwest ski association). Racers and racing isn't that bad don't hate it till you've tried it
 
my mountain doesnt have a park. so i have actually learned to ride the entire mountain. but anyways i have no hate for racers, just cocky ass annoying ones. this one time im on a lift and this racer is just taking me down and telling me how stupid i am for wearing baggy clothes and riding twins. he's saying that i probley cant ski and should go home. and then i was like i bet i can ski just as good as you. and he's like oh yeah prove it. and im like fine, im not skiing gates though. so went out to the bc. had some runs dropped some cliffs. and he was like wow you really can ski blah blah. and i was like yeah. it was cool though, plus i got to know him more and we become friends. he's still cocky though.
 
park rats don't act like they own the mountain, just the park, which is understandable

every racer i've seen is like "hey look at me i fucking rock at skiing watch me go fast past you and make cool turns!!! Everyone else sucks!"
 
I wish I had raced.. but my dad never let me because it is pricey.. most of the people I ski with now were once racers and they're s goood because of that background. I really wish I could have had that.. but oh well! i get to ski hecka now that's all that matters

okay man obviously if MOST racers weren't cocky why would a lot of this thread be saying they are? I mean there not all just making it up it has to come from somewhere.

anyways my hill was founded by racers and probably 80% of the skier kids are racers. the hill pours so much damn money into the racing program and it truly is all they care about the only other thing is the "snowboard park" so obviously its a breeding ground for them.

Ive never been a racer I just had lessons every season for most of my life. Id say Im a pretty good all around skier though and I have been able to shred everything Ive skied so far in my life and that skill is definitely not from racing. the only time I raced was for the school team just so I could miss a day a week to go out on the hill and I gotta I did a lot better than most of the other kids. even though I was in baggy clothes and on twins.

and from skiing at a hill with mostly racers I do have to say that a lot of them are douche bags. a lot of them cut through the park in a huge train going of the sides of jumps and do penciled 3's

I mean they do have a right to be there just like everyone else but then again everyone else displays common courtesy. and Im sure if I cut into their training course and bombed it they would be super pissed as well.
 
I grew up racing. All the racers rode the park too. On training days, the training course would usually be above the park, and you could chase some gates, and then go through the park. We would train on twins, or we would hit the park on race skis. Thats how it was back in the day,it was sweet.

Don't hate on racers, they love skiing too. They think they are badass, but most of you probobly think you are pretty badass too.
 
you know what... i hate fucking racer kids going to park, and talking mad shit cause they can launch a damn jump...or a rail lip... seriously....

i hate it even more, when its a cocky park skiier, and they are just total assholes
 
most racers at my hill actually know how to ski. most park skiers there dont know a single thing about skiing except the park. i watch them go down the hill and they dont even know how to carve. not all but a lot.
 
But seriously, there are racers that are complete fags on the slopes...there are park rats that are douches. You cant assume that just because they race that they are fags. Same goes for park skiers. You cant assume they are good at skiing just because they are good at rails. Generally every racer is a solid skier. It pisses me off even more than a racer snaking my park line, when I see a "gangsta" park skier that literally couldnt ski a green trail linking turns. That makes me wanna throw up. Dont be hatin'!!!
