what do you think about people who race.

i race and i get alot of shit from people when im in the park

im addicted to speed but not the drug
 
i raced for my school, and did cussa last year that fucken blew. 7 days a week racing for 8 weeks straight, but i liked racing for my school. good times and now i know how to ski even though i am from michigan.

I used to race but never really liked it. Yhea when I went to the park I had shit too even if I was not bad at all...

But now I've stopped racing and it is one of the best decisions of my life...(Well, I more of convinced my parents to stop racing because I would have stopped ages ago...) Some parts of racing still miss me tho...

 
I find it o.k., being a racer myself...

But believe me, freeskiing is sooo better for you, and that's why I'm quitting

racing sucks. most people that i know that race dont like it. the people that do it are not really into they just do it cuz they are good at it. and lot of them are full of themselves as well.(but sometimes ther are nice people that do race but not as many)

yeah i raced for a couple of years and it def helped make me a better skier but youre so set in what you HAVE to do it sucks, no freedom

Equipment is expensive, and i need lots of new stuff, i love being a poor college student!!!!
 
I think racing is fun, just beacse going really fast and carving is fun. But i really hate it as a sort compared to freeskiing. Freeskiing is all about having your own style, being really creative and always doing something new. In racing all ur doing is going down the same track the last person just did, but trying to go a little faster. Ski racing hasnt really changed in a long time. And i hate watching it cuz it looks the same every time the skiier goes down. And the suits suck.

im fine with them until they come on our hill i mean they can ski anywhere they want but the freestylers only have one hill and all the racers go there fricken pisses me off

I think most racers who hate racing feel the way they do because of the time commitment and the restrictive nature of organized athletics.

I'm srry. Everytime i see the spandex it gets to me. And they hog the fast slopes for pratice. But they're usally nice ppl.

I'm fine with anyone who races as long as they stay out of the park. It is about respect, I don't go onto their race tracks and they should not come into the park. When they come in to the park and start skiing around cutting people off and dodging the jumps then the respect is broken and they deserve to get shit, just as if I were to go onto their race course I would get shit as well.

not true, i ski with mostly boarders and they get me more pumped to throw down than skiers at my mt.

i'm not a big fan of racers even though i race for my high school. i do it cause i get to ski during the week. i'm a fast skier already so i do well at racing and i do try to do better but i'm no hardcore racer who does this every weekend of their life. it's just a different aspect of skiing just like park riding. they're both fun in their own ways.

The racers at my hill think they're the shit. They go in the park and all they can do are ugly ass 360s and usually fall. That's not the case all the time though

unless your a 13 yr old sean petit type pro---you raced as a kid...there was no such thing as freeskiing teams....

Try to name one pro over 24 who did not race at some point in their career...most pros who were into skiing young, attribute their balance and agression to racing

if you can recover at 100kph after a backseat landing on an iced down SG run in europe...you can do allright with some easy skiing twintips ans some fat greasy rails

 
yeah ski racers go down fuckin hard. i dont think racing is that bad except when they ski around in there gay g suits and stuff and act like theyr the shit and all other skiing sucks, thats just dumb

There only one cool racer in alaska that i know of and the rest here are these dumb ass wannabes that come in the park and try to grind and bullshit. They suck it up. for ex they cant go front on a box!

 
im like racers but here my story about them:

im at cranmore enjoying myself and these racer cut me off so im like alright whatever. then these other two racer come on either side of me. And im like of shit it racer gang these snowbaorder im with start laughing. So these racers kids start talking shit. And i go time out if i took off this jacket you wouldnt wann fihgt me and they go shut the fuck so im like alright i warned. It resulted with 6 people on the ground 4 of them racers who i tossed and to snowboarders laughing there asses off ahh good times at cranmore

 
i raced for 7 years until i was 14 and learned to cork 5, switch 7... i think it is the reason, mabe not that i am a good park skier but deff the reason how good of an all mountain skier i am... i owe that to racing

i'm going to race this year on my 178 invaders haha and skip practice every day and go to the park

aww i need a cool signature so i can be cool so ever one will like me if i had a cool signature then if i like saw some chicks from ns they would be like hey theres the kidd with the cool signature let give him a blow job and it would be like the hotest chick on ns hey this is kinda starting to look like a signature dang well i geuss i have a cool signature makeing this signature usless becacase u have a cool signature but if i delete in then i wont so i would need it think about that one almost filled now
 
You guys say that "all racers think they are the shit"...look at all the fucking park rats that think they own the park and they are the shit. There are shitty people on both sides....everyone needs to get over themselves and try not to stereotype an entire group.
