^^ wtf are you talking about? A majority of pro skiers use race stock bindings over normal bindings....
Race bindings are similar to normal stock bindings, except they are usually made of metal and have a higher din. Due to metal they are a little bit heavier than notmal bindings, but the are durable as fuck.
They tend to be much more reliable than normal bindings.
They kick ass, release when you need them too and only when you need them to. You do have to be big enough or ski hard enough the justify the high din.
if you get a chance to pick of a Salomon s916 or s920( din 14-20....so only if your nuts), Look P18, or any of the Rossignol FKS bindings I would do it for sure.
I'm using race stocks on almost all of my skis next year, excluding the skis I tour on and my park skis(which, soon, will also have race stock bindings). For me they are worth the extra investment, for some people, though, they are overkill.
So, to sum that up....GET THEM!
