are race bindings good reliable bindings? do they have any releasing problems like do the pre-release or not release at all? I'm thinking of getting the rossi fks 120 race binding, but how would the compare to something like a p12?

i don't think most ppl have expirence with race bindings

i ride the rossi fks 155 bindings, and there dope... there pretty light, and really strong but the brakes bend alot at first then once u bend em back a little there good..

^^ wtf are you talking about? A majority of pro skiers use race stock bindings over normal bindings....

Race bindings are similar to normal stock bindings, except they are usually made of metal and have a higher din. Due to metal they are a little bit heavier than notmal bindings, but the are durable as fuck.

They tend to be much more reliable than normal bindings.

They kick ass, release when you need them too and only when you need them to. You do have to be big enough or ski hard enough the justify the high din.

if you get a chance to pick of a Salomon s916 or s920( din 14-20....so only if your nuts), Look P18, or any of the Rossignol FKS bindings I would do it for sure.

I'm using race stocks on almost all of my skis next year, excluding the skis I tour on and my park skis(which, soon, will also have race stock bindings). For me they are worth the extra investment, for some people, though, they are overkill.

So, to sum that up....GET THEM!

I wasn't respond to your comments but the comments of the guy above you.

race stocks usually come with no lift. Racers use plates to get their lift.

Both my P18 and s916 have no lift what so ever. the same is true for the FKS

depend wut fks 120s ur talking about though cause there are two kinds. one has the normal look p12 heelpeice and the other has the fks 155,185,p18 heelpeice but only goes to twelve. the one with the normal heelpeice is the exact same as a p12 jib

do it for yourself and no one else

just summed up everything that can be said about race bindings they cost more sure but they are fucking gold

'kevin whyed nils pull you out?' 'Cuz i was touchin bitches.' 'No seriously why did he put scott in for you.' 'Scott doesn't touch bitches.'

they are fine, lower din, all metal. basically a slightly heavier, more reliable P12.

I was under the opinion that fks 120's were less heavy then p12's.

hmm...they may be.

I know the s916 are heavier than s914 and P18 are heavier than P14....not sure about the FKS 120

it really doesn't matter though, the weight difference won't be significant

The fks 120s are lighter than the regular binders because the lake of the heeltrack which accounts for a ton of weight on the stock bindings. So however said the fks series is lighter than the stock is correct.

i dont know if its worth spending the extra money on those, they are extremely similar to the p12's, and i dont know about you but ive never heard of anybody whos had a problem with the p12's, so it may not be worth it

"thats how its done, balls out, first run"

one other thing to consider: the heeltrack on the P12 allows somebody who's foot is growing to go up a boot sieze or two without having to redrill the bindings to move them out

the race binding, the FKS 120, has much less leeway in how much play you can get to accomodate a larger boot

my advice: if you are still growing and think your foot size will increase, get the P12, it's much more adjustable

i wasnt talking about markers, i was talking about look race bindings.

yeah the race bindings are going to be heavier and have a higher din but theyre going to be really reliable

Hi Guys,

I will weigh the FKS 12 out tomorrow and comapre it to the P12 Jib of last year for a weight comparison. S916's and S920's should be available in early August. FKS 185's and 120's are available now.
