R.I.P. Steve Romeo & Chris Onufer

fucking sucks! this year has just bean such a shity year! little snow, bad stability and allot of deaths. fuck...... rest in peace, another pioneer, gone.....

This. It seems to be taking people who know what they're doing as well.

A lot of slides are happening in areas that don't usually go, everyone PLEASE play it safe in the closing weeks of this winter.

Surprized to see this on NS. I worked with Chris on the tram at JH and he was the shit, such good energy and a funny bastard with a super solid work ethic. The last time I saw him was just over a week ago and I was giving him shit for something he did better than anyone... Ski pow laps in JH slackcountry while on the clock! Romeo ran www.TetonAT.com which hosts a slew of backcountry beta for the Tetons and beyond. I last ran into him on top of the pass at sunrise during the last lunar eclipse. These dudes made skiing their lives and didn't mind giving up everything for this passion. Live to Ski brothers. And thank you NS for paying homage.

RIP guys

Just goes to show you, no matter how experienced you are, shit happens - especially this year.

Damn I was OB in Jackson just last week. The weather warmed up like crazy there this week, prime for slides. Rest in Peace, passed away doing what you love and lived for.

i just got back from a trip to jackson on wednesday. toured a bunch and used steve's blog for help with where to go. cant believe someone so experienced is no longer with us. this is just so shocking.
