he was probably down there...and he got poked by that mean old stingray...but then he was like "CRIKEY" , lost the air in his lungs, and drowned

Nah man he freaked out the stingray and got a stinger right through the chest in the heart. Its weird because the stingray has only killed one other person in Australia in the last 60 years. Well miss the guy.

uhh am i the only one who thinks he deserved it? for christ sake he wrestled crocs for a living im suprised he didnt get his head bitten off by one he cheated death just one to many times he couldnt keep doing it without dieing sometime cmon after all the times hes actually been bit by snakes and lived it was his fault- thats all i have to say
 
Yeah but its not like he did it for the money or to be stupid. He seriously loved animals and he wanted to share his knowledge with anyone who would listen, which was almost everyone in the world

"deserved it" isn't the wording i'd use, but i know what you mean. He was bound to have a serious accident sooner or later. Was it his fault? Probably. But you could say that about any person who dies doing something they love. A lot of people die doing extreme activities. Look at all the skiers who died last season. Steve Irwin was at the top of his field, and it was a risk he was willing to take.

RIP, crock hunter. I'll always remember that sportscenter commercial.
 
if they have a barb on their tail that has poisonous venom on it that can obviously stab a man through the hear, i would call them dangerous
 
the barb stays on their tails...unless it broke off, or the stingray had it's tail so far up in his ribcage that it cought stuck to him, he wouldn't need to pull it out
 
i understand that he has been flirting with death for most of his life and that something like this wasn't too unlikely of an occurance. but to everyone who is saying he's stupid and he deserves it, fuck you. he died doing what he loved. that would be the equivalent of saying that any ski hero who died in an avalanche or any other ski related accident "deserved it".
 
He's been flirting with death, sure, but... he did it for the thing he loved most - animals. You wanna see people who do stupid shit for money, watch Jackass 2. You wanna see a guy who does it because he's a selfless advocate and lover of animals... that was Steve Irwin.
