Alright, you guys might not care about this at all, but i'm just informing you that i am in the most surreal moment right now. I live in Seattle, WA and last night, Halloween, i was told that somebody was shot near my school (Garfield High School) in the central district. I was joking with my friend that it was probably this kid quincy, and now i regret saying that, because it actually was him that was shot and killed. i don't really know what to do right now, but he was well known at our school for rapping in a group called Shankbone and selling drugs. there is a huge conflict going on right now and basically a gang war might erupt.

i drove by the place of the shooting today and i saw a bunch of people chillin there just looking sad and stuff
if i'm correct, the other guy that got shot was put into Harborview Medical Center, but will be ok
unfortunately, the gunmen are still at large

not to be an ass, but as far as I see its just the consequence of his poor life choices.

 
a consequence, yes. but there are drug dealers everywhere, only a few of them get shot and killed. and at that age, it's a tragedy no matter what. you say you're not trying to be an ass, but you are.

yeah, no one can be held completely liable for their poor choices at 16, and they surely don't deserve to die for them. quincy was a nice guy, he just grew up in a bad situation, and hung out with the wrong crowd no matter how cliche that sounds.

matt, next time you come to seattle, gimme a call and i can give you a cd. quincy wasn't a major member, but was featured on a couple of tracks.

same thing happened to me with a teacher...but she wasnt shot she fell down a flight of stairs. I know how you feel right now postive vibes it will get better

Student Store. And i'm pretty sure that it was quincy's gang with a retaliation hit, but i'm not sure so don't tell people it was me, i'm not tryin to get shot

oh, and i was driving home from school today when i passed holy names and there was an alley that had a fat "rest in peace quincy" spraypainted on.

so he sells drugs and his death is the result of a war going on between gangs meaning he was most likely in one... sounding less and less like a tragedy and more of just a dumb life choice. sucks regardless though.
 
not to be an ass to the OP, but i agree.

it's definitely tragic, but it is his fault for falling into that crowd of people.

being in "that crowd" is stereotypical as can be. selling drugs these days isn't shit.

I see some of the most straight edge kids trying to sell half's of bud to make a dollar all the time now. more and more frequently too.

as far as the gang war...it said a gang war would soon erupt. not necessarily gang violence.
 
really? if youre in a gang, thats a tad different than being a "straight edge" kid selling some bud to his friends. get some fucking sense before you say something retarded. also again, it sucks that happened but you choose your life style, you pay what comes with it.
