god, im depressed now. i went to biglines.com and saw a newly streamed video with the Look/Dynastar representative, and he proceeded to show everyone that they now have discontinued all pivots. he showed the camera the PX18, and i just about cried. the line has PX10s, 12s, 15s, and 18s. what the fuck. i am very mad. and that means pivot heal pieces will jump in price next season. shit...
 
there probably coming out with a new line, that will be named something different but will virtually be the same binding, or i would hope that they could make it a little lighter
 
they've been phazing them out for the past two seasons, since they discontinued the Rossi line... it sucks

I still ride my free 18's from '04... they're bombproof

the dude said something about changing partially because of the brakes. so that we can switch out brakes with aftermarket brakes. said somethin else about us "not having to bust your knuckles bending your brakes anymore". so what...you were making one of, if not THE, best big mountain binding in the world. and you stopped because of brakes and financial issues? damnit!
 
they tried to do this for last year but i was told it took a long time for the racers to accept this binding, so now its a year behind. i hope its still simple and strong...
 
hahahaha oh man and looks without the pivot are total ball sach. I've gone trhough so much pain due to coming out of my PX12,s and 14s for no reason. Seriously I hate those bindings, my ass will never be the same
 
shit, this really sucks. i still can't believe they're actually doing this. thank god they hold up so well. maybe i can make the rest of my life with the 2 pair i have now.
 
That my friend, is some serious bullshit. i need to get a couple dozen pairs just so im ready for the rest of my life.
 
FUCK I am pissed off. px heelpieces are shit. I mean, you can change out the brake with a screw? Everybody is going to snap those pieces of shit in the first week.

Looks like Im going to be riding with my din on 17 from now on.

they do not do the same thing, this was the only good binding on the market, everything else is shit. Marker, Salomon, Tyrolia/Fischer, Rossi; and now the last good binding ever is gone. I will NOT calm down!
 
haha yes.

no, I know theyre better. They say the new ones provide more force to your edges in a turn, but you have to be bang on for your forward pressure. Buy salomon? they work great for me!
 
Okay so why the PX sucks

1.Its 90% plastic

2. Its a HUGE heelpeice, it takes up way to much space to allow a ski to flex naturally.

3. the toe peice is about as durable as mcdonalds milkshake.
 
1- the PX racestock heel is mostly metal.

2- the PX racestock heel is significantly shorter than the non-racestock version, resulting in less flex interference.

3- the toe pieces stay the same for the 15 and 18 DIN versions, and the 12 DIN always had that same consumer toepiece.

You, my friend, are full of shit.
 
Ive never seen any "race stock" px, 15 or 18 likely because the turntable is flawless so whats the point? there is absolutly no reason to change it. I know 30 people off the top of my head who will be very dissapointed this includes everyone on the Dynastar team.

Salomons are shit! they are SO heavy, SO big, and have way too many little parts to them. Look turntable race stocks are the shit because they are simple, light, and fucking bombproof, the perfect binding for freestyle.
 
fuck them. they had something gong for them, ive bought pivots, p 15s and 18s for my entire life.There is no point in stopping. now they better make those px shits durable because ill break those bindings in 2 days. Atleast i have about 4 pairs of p15s and 18s so thatll get me through some time. Im gonna go out and buy all the pairs i can so itll last for my life
 
This does suck, now that looks bindings have nothing to really set them apart from the competition they lost their edge. I should have bought another pair of fks's, Im hoping they last for a long time.
