I just got some news that my favorite ski shop in my town is going out of business cuz the dick that owns it doesnt want the shop to continue, they didnt get bought out or anything which would have been alright but noooooo they are closing down for good. I have been getting my gear from there for about 5 years now and they even found the last remaining pair of spk boots in NY in ym size and gave me a deal on them, they were basically the shit, they also let me peep all the new catalogs like oakley, k2, salomon and some others. Now there is only one more shop in town that is decent for ski gear but im kinda sad because the mountain and boardertown was my favorite :(

well both locations lake placid and north creek and both shutting down, it blows, but the only good thing that can come from this are cheap prices

dude the north creek store was epic wtf thats so gay they backed freeskiing so much.... this is awful news to hear

dude.. i don't even have a ski shop in my area.. the clossest one is about and hour away.. and it's not that great.. but i'm moving to south carolina (adgjlgdlfja!!!) and they, ironicly enough, have a shop in the town i'm headed to.. so i'm kinda excited in that aspect and i might try to get a job there..

the one in lake placid sucked. they didnt have the jig to mount my bindings and never called to tell me that, so about two weeks later after not hearing from them, they could only offer me store credit in a refund because there was no cash in the register.

dude u should be lucky u still have ONE shop in your town, becuz i dont even have one and never did. the closest good one to me in rotary ski shop, about 40 minutes from ym house. does anyone know of a good ski shop thats close to monroe/trumbull/shelton CT?
