Microsoft recently announced that Halo 2, along with other Xbox Originals, will be cut from the Xbox Live service on April 15, 2010

I know a lot of you used to play halo 2 and many of you know halo 2 was one of the first large online games, and this is a thread dedicated to halo 2's greatness.

So post up anything and everything you have to say about halo 2.

im gonna have to get some halo 2 time in before they pull the plug
 
I forgot to put up his montage, and I still cant believe that he left Final Boss for Carbon. A lot has changed since Halo 3 came around.
 
halo 2's multiplayer destroys halo 3 as well as any other arcade console fps. RIP halo, we will all miss you
 
It pretty much made online fps games what they are today, without halo 2 there wouldnt be any good online fps games. The amazing part of it is that the game had so much longevity, it lasted 5 years on xbox live and on the mlg pro circuit.
 
yeah i followed mlg throughout the last season. ive been slacking in the offseason though. all i know is neighbor is on td...
 
why are they doing this exactly? what if people still want to play halo 2?

its fucking stupid enough that you have to pay for xbox live, and then they go and make it so that certain games cant be used on it?

fuck them.
 
the days of ridiculously overpowered battle rifles... i guess i can get it for computer and hook my controller up to it
 
This is really sad to hear....I used to play Halo 2 a lot with my friends online...we straight killed it haha. I remember watching some sick MLG matches with str8 rippin' and OGRE 1 and OGRE 2...haha the good ol' days.

Thank you, Im not gonna hate on cod cause everyone suck that games dick and I play it from time to time, but its seriously boring after a little time. There is way less strategy and not as much skill involved.

Lawl, it's probably because you are a shitty who plays COD4 and thinks he can walk into a CS pub and own everyone. And on top of that, you probably played Source and anyone who knows anything about FPS's knows that Source is a complete fucking joke.
 
Double shots in that game were so gay, so fucking hard to get good at. As to the retards bashing Counter Strike, you guys realize how that game is still the most difficult and largest (in terms of being played professionally) game, and it was released like 10+ years ago. Counter Strike started the entire online fps genre. But back to topic, Halo 2 was the shit.

Hahaha I used to play the MLG playlist religiously, then I played GoW2 on GB Now... well I haven't touched a multiplayer game in about a year.
