R.I.P. Andre, tribute inside

My good friend Andre was stabbed to death two years ago on October 22nd, 2006. He was one of my best friends, I grew up with him until I moved. He had come out to Seattle two weeks before to visit me.

He was a recovering cocaine addict, and was involved in gang violence since the age of 14. Fortunately, his parents divorced and his brother went with his father, and he went with his mother. He stayed out of trouble, but because of his affiliation, he was killed because of a rumor which wasn't even true.

we have a metco program where students from boston and other worse school systems go to our school, westwood high school. were top 20 in the state, so its a great opportunity for them. well all of us westwood kids are sheltered from the worse side of life, were all pretty rich and snobby (not to sound cocky). well today we were informed that one of these metco kids was shot and in serious condition last night.

rumor has it that it was over a coke deal and he got shot 4 times.

its so shocking to see someone that goes to our school of just 800 kids got shot. you never expect it to happen
 
haha yah andy everyone at my school was talking about this today.. but they said that in happened today in school..

and that's sad about your boy andre.. RIP.
 
btw. did a little cover of knockin on heaven's door. check it out, it's in the original post. it talks about our friendship...

but yeah. it's a sad story but it happens everywhere. it's so ignorant how people glorify the ghetto and try to act all G and stuff when really if they were put in that situation, most of them would either a) shit their pants or b) get knocked the fuck out. that's my 2 cents.
