Quitting a Job

Ok, so i'm a waiter at a retirement home, and with school/ski season approaching, i'm going to have to quit. How should I do this? The new schedule for the next 2 weeks comes out saturday, so i still have 1 day to let them know in advance.

Also, i'm planning on getting a job as a lifeguard now that i'm officially certified. will this screw me over when i need a recommendation or when my next job talks to my old boss?

Basically i need a way to quit ASAP with some dignity.

PS also my boss is pretty hot so its kinda hard to ask her big things like this without thinking about non-work related things.
 
yeah you should be giving a 2 week notice man. tell her now and then just work the next two weeks and you'll get the reccomendation. you have to give your boss time to find a replacement just incase they become understaffed.

as for the telling her part. just say unfortunately i'm going to have to quit as i am moving on to a job which suits my interests and goals in life.
 
yea, i only am able to work a week and a half, so that should be pllenty of time. but i think that ill just tell them that between my 2 hockey teams, school, and sports for school, i won't even have any time to do anything.

what she don't know won't hurt her.
 
ask to talk to ur boss be like my freind presented an awsome oppertunity to go on a vaction with his family and would really like to go apologize and she prbly wont care
 
just be like i found a new job with better pay that better suits my interests. unfortunately i don't have the time for 2 jobs, seeing as i barely have enough time for one job with my mentally handicapped sister, single mom, hockey practice, schooling and homework, peace corps and raising my 6 younger siblings. like i said, i'm really sorry but i can't work here anymore as of (insert date here). or sooner if you can find a replacement.

if she gets pissed and doesn't give you a good recommendation, she has no heart.

i'm quitting my painting job. i'm just gonna be like the pay is good, but everyone here calls me the fucking painting kid and not shawn plus i get no respect and honestly i'm fucking sick of it. this is the only reason i'm quitting, is your dyke ass "nurses" that have no respect. telling everyone of them personally that my name is fucking shawn not the painting kid and to fuck off. nothing against you personally donna, you are an exception. good day.
