Autism is not necessarily a bad thing.
If you are in the mid to deep end of the spectrum you are dooomed, I wouldn't even want my biggest enemy to have that destiny.
But the other side of the spectrum, autists who can function normal-ish way. If something is in their interest(probably something not so physical), they can and probably will out perform you. You can find these people anywhere, med-school, engineering, economics, science or dropping classified documents in War thunder. Sure they might seem little weird and awkward, but go to talk to autists you might learn something. I usually find my self having more interesting conversations with those people and in worst case scenario they might seem more normal than I do.
Of course I don't know what is going on in their brain and I don't know how they feel about things. I'm not aware of all of the downsides might have, but I know that it's not fully bad. I'm also aware that not all of them are super human computers, some of them are just weird, but there is still a huge chance they have something interesting to talk about.
If someone says they are autistic don't straight away think that they are fucked up and mentally ill. Possibly say that after you get you know that specific autist.
