I just read Imlach's and Trennors threads and I'm not saying they don't have valid points, but stop with the putting names and restrictions on the sport. Freeskiing is gonna change whether we like it or not. Skiing is about doing whatever the fuck you want to do with 2 planks on your feet and if you think there should be rules about what should and shouldn't be done, you are stopping the progression of the sport. Just sit back and join the ride where 12 year olds are doubling and underslides are sick, instead of putting your ideas into peoples heads and allowing them not to make their own opinions.

What happened to skiing for the sake of skiing free of caring what other people do? Seems like such a far fetched idea to some.
 
olympics won't do fuck all to skiing. there might be a few more gapers trying to hit jumps because they saw it on tv but that's it.

seriously everyone needs to chill out, take snowboarding as an example. after it got in the olympics it has only gotten bigger and better. yet the core guys stay core and still put banger film segments every year without a hassle.
 
opinions aren't always popular, regardless, people are still entitled to their own. If you dont like them how bout not reading them?
