the amount of prepubescent jabronis that lowball me for half the price of my gear, confirm to buy, and then ask for it to be held because they don't have the money to buy makes me get animalistic, fuck you if you message people to buy things and then ghost or fuck around and never pay up. I hate people like you
 
that's the life of selling shit online, I sell a ton of old gear on ebay for my boss and the amount of dumbass messages we get about expensive camera gear is insane.

eBay buyers are the absolute fucking worst. So many people bid or buy and then just never pay or try some bullshit about changing their mind. Fuck them.

No, what's even worse than that is how expensive/not worthwhile selling on eBay has become. I used to eBay a whole lot. Now with their fees (15% or so) combined with the government requiring that you be mailed a 1099-K form if you sell more than $600 in a year, I've almost entirely stepped away from eBay. Paying 30% in taxes/fees to sell something is ridiculous. Oh, and then the buyer has to pay taxes based on their purchase price as well. So the government is really the biggest winner. It sucks and doesn't seem even remotely reasonable for an average person to sell their old sporting equipment.

The worst I ever experienced was when I was giving away a MacBook Pro motherboard on FB for free that had slight water damage. I now understand why people will list things as $1. Free brings out the craziest people.
