So, talking with a rep the other day, and I was informed by him that Dynastar, Lange, Look, Rossignol are up for sale by Quicksilver. It's unknown how this iwll effect sponsorships, etc. K2 is looking ar purchasing Lange as a boot division.

It's been going on for a while but it hasn;t sold... seems like companies are waiting to see if it gets cheaper towards the end of the year.

Anyone heard anything about this? I know that this sounds kinda strange, but the source is very lefit in my opinion.

thats crazy news man!!! but isnt look no more? their just called dynastar bindings like the rossi ones?

but shit that would be so weird if K2 bought Lange

pretty sure look is still around. i think they just discontinued the true turn table so everyone thinks they are dead

ill raise to 2 billion

and yah till be interesting to see what happens like if another companie bought dynaster and they just merged

to bad they make the best skis.

Trouble maker- one of the best pipe skis out there if not the best

Big Trouble- amazing Back country jump ski, and supper solid allmountain ski, Does everything well.

Legend Pro- nothing really needs to be said here.

Legend Pro XXL- Like the pro just bigger and more bad ass.

they have some cool stuff coming out in 08.09 too.

i think fischer, stockli, and other companys like that are uninteresting

this sould be interesting to see what happens

hmm thats interesting...

one of my race coaches is a volkl rep and he informed me that tecnica broke off their partnership or whatever they had with marker and volkl...

i'd call bullshit on that one considering K2 owns them!

i'm also calling bullshit on quiksilver selling dynastar and rossignol. the plans were set in motion to turn rossignol into a full blown outdoor lifestyle company like salomon. for them to sell makes absolutely no sense. it would take more than one year of bad sales for a parent company to sell off a major brand.

k2 already has killer bees for boots and volkl and marker. I hope it stays the way it is or some independent buys them. Tanner should absorb rossi and look with armada. Haha impossible, but that would be dope.

full tilt boots are great for a very niche market. for the masses, the full tilt boot isn't the way to go. Market Tecnica Volkl is in essence a package deal

its better for the company, more money to invest and they have really helped them launch a bigger and better outerwear line. It can lead to a more mainstream company but im not sure skiing can become "mainstream"

its good for the sport in more ways than not

K2 doesn't own Technica. As for Rossignol, they haven't exactly been swimming in profits since Quiksilver acquired them.

PARIS, Sept 13 (Reuters) - Quiksilver (ZQK.N: Quote, Profile, Research) is studying three offers for its Rossignol unit, two and a half years after it bought the French maker of winter sporting goods for 360 million euros ($500 million), a French newspaper reported.

The candidates to buy Rossignol were investment funds specialising in business turnaround, the newspaper La Tribune said in an advance copy of its Friday edition seen by Reuters.

One of the funds had the support of Rossignol Chairman Jean-Francois Gautier, while another had the support of Quiksilver Vice President Thierry Miremont, the paper said.

Quiksilver could not be reached immediately for comment. (Reporting by Rachel Sanderson)
