Quick survey for a research paper, +k

I agree. zero tolerance looks good on paper, but it ends up with kids getting in trouble for stupid shit and making others live in fear.
 
Done. When is was in 4th grade, I got 2 days of in school suspension because I launched a spit ball at my friend, he ducked, and it went on the teachers desk when she was writing something.. Well basically my friend and I just sat in the principals office (he was out at a conference both days) and fucked around, talked all day, went on/through his computer, read all the sit on his desk, etc. Pretty bad ass for two fourth graders, but that's only because we had the opportunity lol..

Moral of the story: Suspension is useless and the kids win at it.
 
Done. Suspension doesn't even seen like punishment, it's just some days off for being a badass. Like a reward for being a baller

Not quite sure yet. Probably some other form of punishment, like saturday school or some thing like it. My paper is based on the harm of it, and of course the issue of alternative punishment brought up, but thats not til later on. Right now I'm just conducting research.

i did it. one day i got pissed off at lunch for getting caught for throwing food and called the VP "an administrators bitch". i sat in some teachers room as he taught all day, and did homework/mostly browsed NS without anyone checking up on me. I honestly could of just left school and no one would have an idea. so i went to ISS for 2 days, then just spent the rest of the week at home doing shit.
 
What is your alternative to suspension as a form of discipline? If you get an out-of-school suspension it is up to your parents to enforce a punishment.

Is your idea to use resources at the school to sit all-day with kids who get in trouble? How about they tell those kids to fuck off and go home (like they do) and use those resources on kids who are trying to do something in school.

Your teacher is going to tear you apart. But congrats, you got 100 kids on NS to say they think suspensions are stupid and pointless.
