Quick Release?

Well I have a glidecam 2000 Pro, I am definately looking into a quick release plate, but I have no idea what to get. I'm literally clueless. I've checked all these forums and they don't really explain what I need.

Looking for a pretty cheap Quick Release

-Something built pretty nice, but bomber but will hold up

Well the reason people buy quick releases is so they can pop their camera off the tripod head and throw it onto their glidecam quickly. I just ordered a Weifeng 717ah fluid head and the corresponding QR plate for 110 off ebay.
 
this isn't going to bode well for you later on.

The screw that tightens the plate to the quick release won't really work unless you mount the quick release on the end of the baseplate of the glidecam.

It is a little bit of a pain because the plate does not match my tripod plate, but as long as you mark where you screwed the quick release plate in on your camera you will not have a problem.

I have used this quick release on my 2000 pro for over 1 year and it has worked perfectly
 
The guy from b&h says that manfratto made a new version of it and the screw pops out so that you can tighten it even if its in the middle of the plate. Idk if he knows what he's talking about tho
