Quick help needed, concerning my canon hv30!

i have a few questions:

1. how many times can i firewire my HD footy from my hv30 to my computer without causing any damage to the camera ??

2. are head-cleaners for mini-dv cameras worth it (do they work) ... ??!

if you NSers can help by posting, id reallly appreciate it.

unlimited.. there is no limit. head cleaners are only needed if your heads start to get dirty. you will know that this is hapening because you will have big huge glitchylines in all of your footy...

to stop this from happening as often always try and use the same type of tape. the reason for this is because all taped have a different type of lube that tgets rubbed on the heads. and when they mix, bad things happen
 
well, what i actually meant was does capturing footage straight from the camera decrease its quality over time?!
 
so today i was filming in the side of the landing and i got trucked by my friend.......i watched the footage and when he hit me the camcorder froze and gliched, should i head clean it?
 
i now that, but i was wondering if capturing footage alot wears downs the heads. because i dont wanna get gliches and fuzzies. is there anything i can do besides the headcleaners to protect my hv30 ??
 
happened to me, ur probs fine other than the messed up footy, but it doesnt hurt to clean your heads and cleaner tapes are cheap on ebay
 
so today i was driving in the middle of the lanes on the highway and i got trucked by my friend.......i watched the footage and when he hit me the car flipped and dented, should i change my oil?

and no you dont need a head clean you with the biggie icon.. its just from the camera being hit.....

dont head clean to much because youll wear out your heads
