Quick goPro question,,,++k for help

okay so i bought a GoPro today finally and playing around with it I have a few questions..

1) When i plug it into my computer it nothing comes up??

2) How do u turn the thing off?

3) when i start recording it stops by itself after like 5 secs with a SD Card..Any help?

Sorry for the inconvience im technologiclly slow....
 
To turn it off hold the button closest to the lens. To charge it just plug it it don't turn it on. To upload the footage turn it on and then plug it in. The little screen will say "USB"

 
Thanks now i got it off! ++k but when i plug it in it like wont recognize it and wont let me upload my videos??
 
See if a little bubble pops up that says something like "new hardware installed" to make sure its working right. Otherwise, you can most likely pop out the SD card and plug it straight into the computer to get the footage.
 
I have a Mac and I had the same problem with uploading footage. Once you plug it in turn it on like you would for filming, it should come up as an external hard drive.
 
i don't think you can delete it on the go pro itself, and if you have a mac, you have to put your files in the trash and empty it to remove them on the go pro
 
Jesus, the instructions that come with it answer all these questions. When you plug it in your comp via USB, the light will turn red meaning its charging, turns off when charged. Turn it on while plugged in to mount it, USB will show up on screen. Vids can be deleted from the camera itself when not plugged in, go to SET and scroll through options 'til it says Last and All, that means delete last and delete all.
 
the two ways to delete stuff on the camera itself are to go into the settings and cycle through until you get LSF (upside down F) and it will delete the last recorded file on the card, and also the ALL which will delete all the files on the card.

If you still have more questions about the camera i would advise watching some of eyeofmine's gopro videos
