Questions for Armada/Ar5 owners or anyone who knows...

So, I'm probably going to get last years AR5

I just have a couple questions:

Are they particularly heavy?

I've heard that they're not so good in the pipe--is that true?

what kind of bindings(brand/model)are good on Armadas--what are you using?

Just stuff like that...Lemme know if you like yours pros/cons etc...

Overall they seem like what I'm looken for and I can get them for a good price so...

any feedback would be cool.

what's the price you're getting them for? are they new or used?

i'm not asking because i want to buy a pair, i'm asking just so i can get a feel for what kind of money you're gonna be dropping on them and if it'll be worth your while.

I used the S912 Ti black fizz and they worked awsome, I think thats the most common binding for it if you look at pros and stuff. They weren't that heavy, but if you skied on lines like i did you will def notice a big diffrence, same wit performance tho. At first I found them hard to turn with, but after about a week i fell in love and there my all time fav twin so far. Im 115 pounds, about 5'7 and rode the 160cm skis. I liked them alot in the pipe (but havent really had many difrent skis in the pipe) but i did notice that they had excellent pop off everything. ummwhat else... if you get ar5 green model go fro the s912ti black fizz cus they match awsome. also make sure you dont mount on the line.. measure the whole length then go back around 5cm... and yup. anything else?

they are good in the pipe, and you should mount look p10s on them.

ill be super rich and own mt.hood and let everybody from ns ski for free... except freezed

actually you do want to mount on the line that is on the ski, and incase you didn't already here the top sheet chips pretty badly, but overall they are a great ski

About mounting where is the 'mounting line'? Slightly back? --I was thinking of center mounting 'em....

that's a pretty good deal.

last years skis had a lot of problems, though. most notably, the edges were weak, the bases liked to seperate from the ski sometimes, the topsheets chipped like a mother... my advise is that if you get any of last years armadas, use them purely as a beater ski, because if you depend on them as your main ski, you're gonna be really disappointed.

this years armadas, on the other hand, have pretty much fixed everything from last year... but they're around $550 or so (as opposed to your $280)

$280 is a really good deal, I was gonna pick up this years armadas after I killed my other ones but I found a pair brand new for $200 so I'm sticking w/ the 03/04's for this year

Mine didnt chip that bad, and you DONT want to mount on the line if you get 160's.. its just for looks.. TRUST ME. My binding heel piece is covering the line, and i called up armada and asked.
