Questions for all u of u students...

its a stupid thread, but i felt the need anyways because i feel i can get some honest answers.

im seriously considering going there for college next year, but i have a few questions...

what is the night life like? lots going on? nothing going on?

what are the women like? hot? single? not boring?

and what is the overall feel on campus, is it more of an up tight school or chilled out?

it has come down to u of u and cu boulder so a little insight would be dope

If you dig the hesh scene, fixies, pbr and klepto chicks its exactly the place to be. haha. Its a party school, and theres tons of really good skier kids that are too dumb to get their generals at weberstate and save thousands of dollars up front. overall its pretty cool just damn expensive. probably no different than cu

Keep in mind that the U is a commuter campus so Boulder prob has more of a real college feel. That said you'll likely go skiing more often at the U considering the proximity of the resorts to the school. You can party and ski at both schools but you might want to decide which one is a priority.

You basically have to face the facts and decide what your priorities are. If they are skiing, go to the U. If they are partying, go to CU. You will still get to party at the U, but its not quite as ep as CU.

tons of fine women here in utah. unfortunately you, along with us will never have sex with them...mormon.
tons of fine women at CU that will be dtf any day any hour, just give them some booze.
if you want to find a party here in utah, it isnt hard you just gotta know a few people...people are always getting drunk, whether it be the dorms or at a house.
if you want to ski a lot come to the u, about a 20-25 minute drive from campus.

as said man, figure out your priorities first, most of us here love to ski, party and hangout, but in all honesty a lot of us are here to get that degree as well. once you figure out whats your thing, then it will be totally clear to where you want to go.
my roommate and i had the same decision, we both chose the u. my sister graduates from CU this spring, and loved it. its all up to you man.

word man thanks for that. just got my acceptance letter a week ago and right now its still up in the air. mad tough decision. basically skiing is one of my biggest priorities, and cu is pretty far in comparison. also looking to major in meteorology which cu doesnt have so utah may be the choice...

The thread creator didn't mention it as a consideration. My impression is that they're pretty comparable when it comes to academics.

its like 15k for a year of tuition, which for out of state is pretty cheap compared to most schools, then after a year of living in utah, in state is 5-6k a year which is stupid cheap.

in a perfect world i would go to CU or even U of A in the fall and U of U in the winter but it just doesn't work like that. partying or skiing take your pick. Some of the best music ever comes through boulder, my brother who goes to CU just saw the disco biscuits who came thru boulder for 4 nights in a row (which is unheard of), red rocks is not that far which is the most epic venue of all time, and some of the best jam bands come and play in colorado which is something utah is heavily lacking. pretty much all utah has for me is friends and skiing which is more than enough for me in the wintertime, i just travel a lot to party in the fall.

Like Jake said there is a good amount of partying that goes on either on campus in the dorms or down at someones house you just gotta know the right people. I chose the U over CU because of the proximity of the resorts to campus, In colorado you gotta drive at least 2 hours to ski here its less than 30 minutes away

i love the U, i have nothing wrong with it. the gypsies don't bother me, except when a smelly one sits by me in class. other than that there is nothing wrong with it

fun night life, great riding, girls are hot.
