right now im rockin a pair of 07 line blends in size 165... but the problem is im 6' 1". i would like to get new skis but i was just curious as to the benefits of a longer ski. as i said im 6'1" and im a pretty intermediate skiier and this year im going to primarily skiing park. if i ski on the 165's this year is that going to result in any problems, and will a longer ski have any benefits for me besides being able to go a bit faster, such as better stability, easier landings, better control? any help would be sweet

quit messing around with such a short ski, atleast get something that is "chin" high...178-185 cm would be $$$...eventually you will be thanking yourself that you went longer...you will benefit the stablilty/speed of the ski fo sho.

I would say longer is better! Im 5'10" and i ski around 165-185, depending on brand. MY salomon Foils last year were 174. which is the same excact length and my 185 Rossi's and 179 k2's. Every brand is a little bit different with their sizing, but i usually go around eyebrow to the top of my head, usually a little more versatile if you live somewhere with a lot of pow. Besides, if your center mounting those things they will seem much shorter than they really are anyways. Even at +3 you will notice a defference.
