Questions about CU

im from ohio. going to college next year, still havent decided where. look at CU and thought it looked pretty nice (few too many hippies but o well). first question: i heard theres a place to ski like 30 min away. what is it? 2: i hear d buses only run up to the mountains on weekends so how much do u get to ski? cuz two days a week wont cut it. 3: how do u like the school in general?
 
Yeah...the place 30 min. away is eldora, not very good but they have night skiing so if two days a week isn't enough for you you can go there at night.
 
I've never been to Eldora, I just drive up to Summit county. Yeah there's a bus (that you have to pay for) that runs to Breck and back on Saturdays and on Sundays it goes to Keystone. You can always find a ride though, there's a ton of kids that just drive up there.

Other than that CU is a huuuuge party school and it's super easy. I'm transferring though, I can't stand how many people are here from california and texas. I hate people from texas

but i like it and you'll ski way more than you could ever imagine freshman year (60+ days)
 
thats what i was hopin for. im logging bout 60 days a year the past couple years here and i dont think i could go back to skiing less.
 
fuck the ski bus, it always cancels. meet people and be wiling to get rides from anyone and you can ski whenever. im at 80+ days with 16 credits, so you can ski a shitload, just gotta time manage good. the hippie vibe seems to be going away, mostly rich white kids, but a dope place none the less
 
same here dude oh my god i fucking hate texans so much.

and it makes me sick seeing all the fucking cali girls with their $1000 coach purses and $500 boots and all the frat boys with brand new denalis on 22's paid by their parents. spoiled bitches
 
but at the same time you can take there money so easy, just get good at poker and feed them alchohol, take them for alot, I know a guy that goes down about 1 every other month and makes about 500 off of kids down there...so easy.
 
CU is sweet i like it alot. eldora is a good place to ski half days and when you want to sleep in/cant make it up to summit county. eldora definitly does not have night skiing though. in general it takes 1:45 minutes to get to the good ski areas. What are you going to study? i think that might affect your decision also. everyone talks about all the rich fucks. i think it depends what you are studying. i'm in the engineering school and there are not very many of them there.
 
i'd say this order is more accurate for boulder demographics:

Coloradoans >yuppies>Californians > stoners>New englanders.>Texans>Minnesotans>skiers>hippies>professional/olympic athletes
 
im a freshman ove it i can party all i want skied 80 times okay school cool kid and ofcourse theres some fags out of state is 40 gs c'mon that gauerentees fags
 
basically if you get an 18 act you can go down to a 2.4 (i think I don't have the chart in front of me but I was looking at it in class today...) so it isn't very hard to get into.
