Questions about Aspen

So my girlfriend and I are moving to Carbondale, CO in August because I'm going to school. Im gonna be skiing Aspen and am curious where I'm gonna find the best terrain out of the 4 resorts in the area. I live in WA right now and have been skiing Baker, so i'm way more fond of powder and skiing lines than I am at skiing park.

So where am I gonna find the best terrain? Cliffs and pillows, steeps etc. Highlands, Buttermilk, Snowmass, or Aspen Mountain?
 
I've been there a couple of times and can say that the highlands has great terrain for pow and stuff. Plus they have the highlands bowl which is awesome. Buttermilk also has good pow runs and a nice beginner park and a big advanced park.
 
Does anyone know anything about Sunlight Mountain Resort in Glenwood Springs? Worth checking out?
 
So obviously it won't compare in amount of snowfall compared to the PNW but I'd say you won't be disappointed in the terrain or how much there is.

Highlands, Snowmass are my favorites. During season Highlands is rarely busy other than holidays and some ski race days. Snowmass is so fucking huge that it will take you some time hit everything.

I have soft spot for Buttermilk cause I've work there the last 4 winters. The mountain is super chill and lots of good ski bum people working.

Aspen is a good glades mountain but the gondola line at the base is the most consistently long line in the Company. Mainly because rich people will only ride the gondola. They do have a free pop up champagne bar that comes out from time to time.

All four mountains have hike/skin to areas.

Sunlight (from the one time I was there) is an okay mountain. Lot lower key, mom and pop ski hill feel. Deftly a cheaper option. I have deftly been spoiled by Aspen mountains.

Big things.

There's more than enough terrain if you don't want to deal with BC. But if you do go to the BC know that over last ten years in Colorado 28 die averagely in Avalanche related deaths. Get an avi set up. Get avi trained. listen to Colorado avalanche forecasting religiously.

Lots of jobs in the valley offer passes or flex pass options.

There is a big community of skiers in bounds and out bounds.

You'll like what the Roaring fork area has unless you hate the outdoors.
