How do I mount a Manfrotto 504 head onto a glide track?

Do you have a quick release plate or screw on the slider? If its just a screw, cant you just take the head off and put it on the screw?

It's a bowl mount tripod, so I think I am going to buy a 701 head to put on the glide track, which will be on the 504 set up.
