so ive been saving my change for the last couple months and tomarows the day im guna take it in to get some bills. i was thinkin just goin to stop n shop or somthing and using the coinstar machine but i know that coinstar gets to take a certain amount of the money. anyone know how much it takes? if its too much i'll prob just go to the bank but thats a hastle...

i'm pretty sure like 10% ... i'd probably take it to YOUR bank so they don't take anything out because sometimes if you go to a bank which you don't have an account with they take a percent out as well.

straight from coinstar.com

In the U.S., the fee for our coin counting service is 8.9 cents per

dollar counted (9.8 cents Canada). Retailers or financial institutions

may choose to discount this fee.

I've worked at a couple banks and I'd call ahead of time if you want to use their coin machine because a lot of banks don't even have them and some that do charge you to use it. A lot of the times your change has to be rolled ahead of time for banks to take it.
