Question

Bumpity bump bump...

Do any of these places allow lot camping or something similar? How about dirt cheap motels nearby?
 
Jackson has a Motel 6 or something of the sort for $35 a night. Bring your own shampoo and an english/spanish dictionary and you'll be good to go. The bus also stops a few blocks away, but do yourself a favor and get a map instead of relying on the person at the front desk.
 
there is also a hostel downtown a few blocks (northwest i think) from the town square and i believe there is another one at teton village
