Question with my AR5's

So I have the 181 AR5's and I'm thinking more and more that I should've gotten the 170's. I'm 5'8 135lbs. I can drive down to Nashua NH (like 2 hrs from my house in VT) to exchange them (because they are still in the shrink wrap) Should I do it? Or should I just keep the 181's??
 
I really don't think there's much growing left in me. I'm a junior in high school, I've been 135lbs for like the past 3 year and it's not like I'm going to have any great growth spurt. I skiied on 180's all last year and I just think it's time for a change and that 170's would be easier for me. Everyone I see at my height/weight or bigger has smaller skis then me, I'm like the only one who has skis taller than me. It's not like I don't know how a 180 feels I just think downsizing is the way to go.
 
well ill trade you my red fujatvies with 912's in 169. they are mounted like shit. really far back. ill throw in a cherry coke and some hugs too

please god trade me. i covet those skis and the elizabeths and i plan on getting either one next year. why not up that deadline for me and make my christmas. the fujatives got some tight stickers on them.
 
u will deff gains ome wait but 181s are to big for u. i am like 150-160 and i ride that. 176 would actaully fit u nice if u gain like 10 lbs
 
I've literally been 130-135lbs for the past 3 years, so that's why I can't assume I'll gain 10lbs. And I think 170's will be better than a 176. I need to make a decision by tonight, because I'm doing it all tommorow and I want to get these mounted and ready to go for the weekend now that we have snow (yes, I have to miss a day of skiing because of this)
 
well despite one person saying that this is a good idea, I'm going to go with the 170's. I'd LOVE to keep the 181's but I should care more about my skiing then what's on top.
 
aight I'm going to bed, any last suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Will the 11cm make a big difference? I think they will but I am skeptical.
 
181's are a little bit too long for you but 170's are definitely too short. Go with the 176's. Perfect length because you'll be mounting them further forward than you normally would.
 
just stick with it im on a 178 and im just 130 now they are center mounted invaders... so just center mount them if your doing mostly park. good fun with a handgun
 
well im 5'6 and i have 165 tm's, i should have goten 175 but didnt at the time. anyways, 170's will be fine
 
If you still can, go trade them back for the 181's. You won't regret it.

A: You're used to the length.

B: It will last you longer.

C: Kids with long sticks are cooler.
 
nope, not trading them back. I got the 170's mounted with the rossi fks and I stand strong with my decision. I want these skis to last me this year and most of next, these skis aren't going to be my skis for the next 5 years. I hope to at least get 60 days these and then my next ones will be 176 or maybe 181. I'm just not tall enough or weigh enough for those sizes yet. Yes, I skiied the 180's for a year only because that was the only size I was able to get at a good deal that year. I never felt comfortable with the 180's and I don't feel that I'm truly used to skiing 180's.
 
Please please someone on here who is A) 5'8 or smaller or B) 135lbs or smaller come on here and tell me they ride skis bigger than a 171?
 
Its better to go long anyways. Sure you might not be able to spin as fast with the 170's but the 176's will be more stable. The skis are gonna work fine, but if I were you I definetly wouldve gone with the 176's.
 
Dude, im shorter than you, but i weight more, and i ride the 176 center, sooo sick man, i know a kid whos same shit as you and he ride 180 cause hes balsy, you my friend=no balls.
 
don't forget I rode 180's all last year. Anyways, today was my first day on them and it was so much nicer having the 170's over the 180's. So much easier to control. I'm very happy I made the decsion so screw all of you.
