Question- SuperUnknown

I've wondering- If a pro made a superunknown edit, would it win easily. For example, a guy like Walker. Do you think his part in Do Werk would win superunknown straight up? Its basically a question of just how good the guys entering superunknown are and how close they are to professional level.
Sparknotes- would any pro win superunknown no contest?
What are your thoughts?

it's not that hard to understand.basically, this is what he's asking:
a guy named tim durtschi enters superunknown. no one has ever heard of him. he enters with an edit he and his friends made. he does the exact same tricks in the exact same locations as his segment in EDIAS, only it's just an edit. not a movie segment.would this edit win superunknown?
obviously in this example, the answer is yes. but he's asking of other pro segments would be enough to win superunknown if the riders weren't pro yet

I actually understand what you are saying. Ill try to exaplin it to those who don't:

Is a pro's footage (ex: Matt Walker Do Werk) good enough that he could win superunkown. Not that he would enter. Basically are pros edits good enough to win?

wow now that im thinking it out i dont think i really understand the thread either lol

The level of the riding in the finalists edits are rediculously high, but not often higher than or equal to a good edit of a pro rider. So to answer your question, if someone was able to put an edit together equivalent to do werk, it would most likely easily win.

I getwhat he is saying. dont hate on kobe just because he was almost arrested for raping a girl hahahaha.

anyways to the point..I just got done watching refresh again actually and segments like toms and Phil casabons would definitely be in the top, no doubt. but then there are some superunkown edits that could come dangerously close. so it is very tough to say. if you are good enough to win superunkown then I think you are good enough for the pros

sparknotes- Pros are better, the winner of Superunknown is pro good in my opinion

to the "superunknown, dipshit" people, tim mcchesney is very known, and i'm not talking about whether a pro could literally enter a contest. I'm just wondering this: if Matt Walker was hypothetically completely unknown, but still as good as he is in real life, could he win superunknown really easily or would he have some competition. That's it. It is just a hypothetical situation, and it could be applied with any pro. That is all

i understand what you're saying. people on this site for the most part cannot understand cause they see a few edits of someone killing it and auto assume they are "super pro" or some retarded shit like that. to be honest, the person who wins super unknown has to be a skier who is, 1. not in any major ski movies with a part (stept/meat heads and any like it does not count), and 2. does not have a definite successful career in their near future (as martini did last year and why he didn't win). the person who is chosen is the one who has the most talent and potential to put out an amazing seggy for level 1 and hopefully can exceed beyond that.

simply put, its a step in the door for those who deserve it most.

and for a lil sidenote... tim isn't some super ski celebrity because of NS.... this is a ski site which represents a small portion of the ski community. cheesebelly more than deserves a spot in the contest along with others that you may have watched edits of in the past. the thing what people dont get with skiing's business side is that being well known from a bunch of internet visitors is far from anything close to a career. and now, comparing tim to walker is kinda retarded... just because they are two very different skiers in style and in skill. to do so with any two skiers in general is a stupid idea.
