Question Scratch BC

I am thinking of getting a pair of scratch bcs this year but i wasnt sure if they were right for me. I ski eastcoast but I mostly ski unmarked glades and grooms but i also like to go to the park occasionally too. Can anyone who has skied on them tell me if these are a good ski to get?

You wont need a fat ski unless youre really doin some big powder riding. Look into something a little skinnier: Libertys would be good all around, as well as Ar5's. If youre set on rossi tho, get the FS.

What about MSPs? they are 87 (i think) in the middle. Whould they be a better choice?

im east coast too, and make alot of trips out west, i was also considering 182 bc's but ended up getting a pair of 180 liberty stealths, 84mm waist can still handle some off piste, and of course they can slay the park too.

Would 180cm Stealths be too big for me, I'm only about 5'7'-5'8' and weigh like 140 lbs

if you're a good skier the 180s probably wouldn't be too big, especially if you're not finished growing. the 170 choppers would be good for you too if you are done growing

Well I'm just starting to do tricks and stuff in the park but I'm really good everywhere else though, and are the stealths like the same thing as the choppers.

All Scratch's are a solid skis. I rode on the 180 FS last year. All the reviews I read on them called them one of the most underrated skis out there. I love these skis. The FS might even be perfect for East Coast riding. If I would have bought the BC's last year, I probably wouldn't have got my 4frnts this year. Yes they are that sweet.

i dont know, I rode the FS and now I'm on BC's, and I love them. I ski east coast only...at avila. And I wouldn't lsiten to people talking about how a fat ski isnt good for east coast. These skis are fine, they're not even that fat but the added width gives extra stability and better balance on rails. The only downside is that they dont turn very well on hard packed because they have a 21.5 m radius (at 182cm). So I'm on 182 cm fat skis for park and I wouldnt have it any other way.
