So no clue if this is the right forum to post in, or let alone the correct site but was hoping any of you mac users can help me in situation I am in. So i bout a 13 inch MBP this past summer and i think within
 
YES!!! Renew that crap. I can't tell you how many times that has covered my ass, but i can tell you it's covered my ass for about 2k of repairs.

Basically what you're asking isn't even a valid question.
 
Yes. Ive gotten about 1000 dollars worth of shit replaced for free because of apple care.
 
Have you taken into account the depreciation of computers? If you had a desktop I would say NO WAY. But laptops have a smaller shelf life.
Personally with the 20 or so macs I have had I have never gotten it, nor have I been burned
 
another question. sorry to thread jack but im about to buy a 15 inch mbp and i was wondering if the apple care that people sell on ebay is legit or a rip off. i dont know if its something you need to buy directly from apple or not. thanks

Renew it Bobby. You're in college, I cant imagine how shitty it would be for you to have to pay like 400 bucks on some stupid port that you could have saved for other stuff.
 
its so worth it man, as long as you cover your shit and don't let people spill beers on your computer or whatnot they will cover you no questions asked. The computers are going to break its just going to happen and even stuff like ware and tare is covered so its great to have, lord knows how many batteries and power chords and other random shit has gone on me in the 4 years ive had mine.
 
It's incredibly ironic that after every post you ever see saying ''buy a Mac'' it's then followed by ''but make sure to get Apple Care''. If these computers were as good as people say then a free standard 1 year warranty would suffice.
I'm a PC and I'm smart.
